AIM, IE, Windows Media Player.

I thought Internet Explorer was the most common browser. Everyone on here has Mozilla Firefox. I did too, but it would close down at least once a day. Anyone else have that problem?

Firefox is infamous for random memory leaks, it's not you.

That's why I only use FF about half the time, I use opera any time that Firefox bothers me. And yes, Internet Explorer is by far the most popular browser

As of June 2007, the current marketshare stands as follows:
Internet Explorer 7 has 19.7% of the market, IE6 has 37.3%, IE5 has 1.5%, firefox has 34%, The Mozilla Suite (Gecko, Netscape) has 1.4%, Safari (apple's browser) has 1.3% and Opera has 1.8% of the market share.

As you can see, Firefox is about 20-25% behind Internet Explorer depending on what numbers you use.... These measurements are always somewhat biased against finding Internet explorer users though, as most of these statistics are only gathered from a single site at a time, and the few sites that do log them and keep track are almost always doing so for an adgenda.

Really? My firefox has never shut down once on me, and tends to get fewer annoying pop-ups than IE. The new IE makes me want to punt a baby... I can't put my finger on why, but it something about it makes it not me-friendly. Plus it runs more slowly on my computer for some reason.

The newest IE still has memory leaks too, or last I heard it did. I don't really keep up on IE as much as the others, because IE isn't an attractive browser to me.

Firefox gets pop-ups than internet explorer by default settings, however, each browser can be made more or less safe depending if the user changes settings, installs anti-virus/malware programs and browses responsibly.
