| So, in my network operating systems class today, my instructor just finished getting his hands on something that I didn't even know was in development. Windows Server 2008, which is practically the server for the Vista platform. I can't really say too much about it, since I don't really like lawsuits but from what I've noticed, it has pretty much the same system functionality as server 2k3 and is pretty user friendly. We just finished installing it today, but tomorrow were gonna put it through a couple simple tests, how it works with RAID, how much of a strain it can handle (the instructor has an Intel Quad Xeon for his playtoy).I know some of you may think that this is completely bogus, and some people will know what I'm talking about, but I didn't know that just because someone is a college/vocational instructor they get access to the newest software pre-release. I found it really fascinating, and I can't wait to get started with working on it.
