Don't see how the battery could hold out the same on 3G as 2G though. The latter ought to last longer.
If they include a superior battery on iPhone ll that doesn't drain between cups of coffee then as long as one has adequate 3G coverage in their area all be well...

I think that may have been a typo. Apple Specs say 5 hours with 3G and 10 with 2G.

Thanks for the other post Sofa King, I'm sure you can preserve the battery life if you change the settings too (I.E. Back light Brightness).

I keep the brightness at 60%, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth set to "off" when I'm not using them, and e-mail auto check set to once every hour.

Set as such I have no gripe at all. With average (whatever that is, lol) talk time, I only need to charge my phone every 2 or 3 days...

Sometimes I use it a lot and sometimes I go long periods where I use my pod instead...

I seriously don't get why people love apple products so much I went to best buy the other day and wanted to look at laptops I told the guy i wanted to look at pcs only and the guy lectured me for 15 minutes on how great apple is I just had to walk out of there on second thought i should have told the manager that their sales guy might be driving pc buyers away with is insane case of apple fandom. the only thing i see as innovative about the iphone is the touch screen capabilities otherwise combining media players into a phone doesn't seem that great to me. who wants to watch a movie on a 3 inch screen. I assume one of you iphone fans can enlighten me to why people are so entranced and obsessed about a freaking phone.

I can't speak for others but I'm hardly obsessed. I simply appreciate genius when I see it.

Find a way to get your hands on one for a little while and it'll be apparent.
Now the irony here is that I'm a staunch PC guy. Back in the early 80's when the world turned I made my decision as to which platform was more suitable.
While acknowledging the utter brilliance of Raskin's vision and Wozniak's and Job's ability (while ruthless in measure) to carry it to the mainstream, the true people's choice was the lowly PC.
Cost me 5 grand with a printer, and now, 25 years later and a gazillion changes made, I'm a happy camper.
What can I say about the iPhone? It kicks ass,
Steven Jobs, autocratic asshole that he is, notwithstanding...

Like sterbo said just try it for a little bit. The iPhone is just extremely useful sometimes. The google maps feature has saved me tons of times. I really like some of the simple features on the phone. The alarm and clock system. Quick weather access. The texting is by far the best I have seen on any phone. Also, the phone is visual appealing and allows for decent customization.
