Well I finally got an ipod (an 80 gig) and am very excited to put all my music on it. One problem though. When I plug it into the USB port on the front of my comp absolutely nothing happens. I go to my computer and it doesn't show that the port is in use. It reads perfectly fine on my parents comp. My girlfriend's ipod used to work fine on my computer and I also used to use the port for digital photos Does anyone know if there is something I can do? This is so frustrating, I have 1,500 songs on itunes and can't put them on my ipod. It's driving me insane...

Make sure the USB port is plugged in and all the drivers are installed. If it isnt nothing will work in that USB port. EDIT: Also check apples website for support. Last edited by iGuru08 : 07-23-2008 at 02:29 AM. Reason: added info

You need a 2.0 usb port. Try pluggin it in through a different usb port, as you might be plugging it in to a 1.0.
