| I've used Sony Mavicas and I really find them to be a pain. They're bulky, completely relying on floppys and no internal memory, and picture taking is just as trial-and-error as any other camera, if not more. Floppys have gone the way of ancient technology. They won't hold more than a dozen pictures, and they're the biggest and most unreliable form of memory out there. You need to carry a lot of floppys around if you plan to do a lot of photo taking. I've lost more data on floppys than any other removable media. I wouldn't recommend a Mavica unless you didn't have a USB connection on your computer. Photo enhancements? I have all the best stuff, Jasc PSP 8 and Adobe Photoshop 7. I haven't had to do retouching to any of the pictures taken yet by either camera, and my parents took a lot of photos when they went on their cruise in the Caribbean. Very nice...though I would edit out that annoying timestamp. ![]() As far as the more current media cards, CompactFlash is the most economical, Secure Digital is the smallest, and memory sticks fall somewhere in the middle. The Kodak models I mentioned use Secure Digital and they have their own internal memory. |
