itunes now that is something i could help you with. uninstall windows media and install itunes need a link?

i dont realy like itunes thogh. theres just somthing about it that bothers me.

Yeah itunes licks balls...

Just go to:

Tools-> Options -> "Rip Music" tab -> Uncheck the box that says "Rip music when cd is inserted."

thats not it thogh. its random. like say if i restart when i reopen win midia player it will have like 2 of the same cd but not all tracs will be there and there not named properly and sometimes it doesent do it. its getting a little annoying to have to keep deleting copies of music i dident make

Did you move or rename the folder your music is in? You can just try to re-add your music library and that might help. Otherwise you might want to do a virus scan.

haha i swear by itunes, well somethings are more annoying but its so much better then WMP

WMP is great for ripping but its sound quality sucks. I use Winamp for playing music (great control over sound quality) and WMP for ripping.

I just avoid anything by Apple like the plague.

I like WMP for most things. Its just so intuitive.....I mean, I wouldn't doubt my 5 yr old nephew could learn to rip CD's, then either burn them or sync them to an MP3 player. Maybe its just because its what I'm used to, but I use it for most things its capable of. I seem to only use Nero when burning DVD's or something of that nature......

I don't understand the question. Why would it make copies and rename songs?
Anyway, when I used Winblows I only used WMP for movie-watching.. don't know why you wouldn't wanna just get a media player like winamp or itunes for music.
I loved iTunes, though.. my favorite media player.
