| Just my $.02, but I always thought that these "desktop modding applications" use up large amounts of RAM, rendering RAM intensive applications slow and/or unstable. If the look of XP bothers you enough, why not try Linux or some other OS?

| That's true. The Themes service of Windows XP is the single most demanding function in the process list as far as memory (especially if you have more "flash"), plus any third-party tweaker runs from it. I'm pretty minimalist about all that stuff on my computer. Themes is disabled and the only stuff I have for presentation is the mouse shadow and font smoothing. And I don't need to be squeamish having 2 GB of RAM, but I'm more performance-oriented. |

| I got the WoW theme from worldofwarcraft.com, and I must say, it is a must have for the avid WoW enthusiast! |
