Its one of those things on my to-do list, but at work and school I have to use qwerty, so it will be a while before I make the switch (I want to be able to use just devork when I'm learning).

My whole life ive been using qwerty and ive gotte used to it but I have to admit trying to type one-handed is how we say here a pain in the arse its also worse because theres only room to type right-handed on the left side so your in a stupid postion

it would take a lot of training to figure it out, then when you go to another computer, you have to be able to use the other format, too.

I used a computer in mexico that had a couple of keys different... it was nearly impossible to write a clear message without capitalization problems, punctuation, etc... and it was a qwerty keyboard.

Maybe a neural implant device or sensor of some sort would allow you to input data without having to use a keyboard.

Babe, I hate to break it to you, but back around the turn of the century, people were putting white caps on typewriters to help with learning touch typing.

It's taken me this long to learn to type this fast. I am not starting over unless I have to do so. Either that or everyone else will have to start translating my typing from Dvorak to Qwerty. (It's kinda like Esperanto, only different.)

I think it's been covered... faster and easier/more efficient typing. And easier one-handed typing, which is actually pretty useful because one handed typing on a qwerty keyboard is difficult and all over the place.

I've been able to type 110+ WPM for a while on QWERTY, but even though I type every day I never improved. So the other day I decided to give the Dvorak layout a try.

This is my second post using the new layout. I couldn't tell you what my WPM is as of yet because I still have to look down while typing and it's kind of hard to measure speed when you can't look at the screen.

It's real nice having the a,s keys on the home row pinkys, those letters are used a lot.
