I just read that if you plug in one of the flash drive things into a usb port with Vista you can choose to add it to your regular RAM. You can use up to 4GB. They had 1GB DDR2 800 and added 1GB from a flash drive and they ran tests on a few games. One was some war game and it raised to FPS by like 10. I think thats a pretty sweet thingy. legitreviews.com/article/455/1/ ![]()

| ![]() Access would be horribly slow compared to bona-fide RAM... Whatever Gates thinks is a good idea this week. ![]()

That look pretty good I find going into computers to put Memory is tedious but it says on the article 'lack the technical expertise' how hard is it to put a bit of memory in anyway hes got 32-Bit which is limited to 4GB on memory due to 32-Bit limitations 64-Bit goes way beyonds that e.g my m/b supports 16GB but its only got 1GB in its Anyway seems a nice idea that a lot simpler now all you need is to do is buy Vista it which could take decades or Hours on P2P networks.

Well, not horribly slow. But slower. Check this review on the ReadyBoost setup: http://anandtech.com/systems/showdoc.aspx?i=2917&p=6

Well, pretend it is slow as hell, so slow that you can only get 1/8 of what the flash drive's capacity is. With a 2GB flash drive, that's still an extra 250 mb of RAM. It isn't a whole lot, but it's still a pretty decent boost.
