Default Trojans

So my internet was running slow / not running at all, AVG picked up thirteen infected files and I healed them. Ten minutes later they're back...all of 'em, in force.

This all happened this evening, and on my C:\ directory I've got a "dollop.exe" created today, and a "winchill.exe" also created today. These have nothing to do with anything I've been doing.

Is there a possibility these two files are downloading the trojans again? I also have a "674632750", 376bytes in size, created today which I also know nothing about.

Please help me.

Lastly, does anybody know if you can run a boot scan in AVG Free Edition, and if not - anybody know some decent free software that will let me do so. Also - would this fix it?

I checked my router at a mate's and the settings appear to be the same, for the record.

Have you tried turning off system restore before scans?

LOL....yup, they are right about sys restore. I found over 200 infected files on a computer at work, and got rid of them by turning of sys restore, running the scan, deleting my sys restore files, and rebooting, turning sys restore back on.

Another suggestion:

Run the anti-spyware scan in Safe Mode.
There are some things that can't be removed otherwise.

I don't believe system restore is featured in Win2k. Any other suggestions? It was suggested by a friend that by renaming some of the suspect files I mentioned they wouldn't be accessed through the registry anymore ( ). Well, I did so on my infected computer and within five minutes of accessing the internet the fuckers were all downloaded and screwing with my system again.

Is it possible these .EXEs that I mentioned in my OP are what's causing the trojans to be downloaded? They're in the same directory as where the trojans keep being found, and they were created on the same day that they arrived. They're also completely unrelated to anything I've been doing.

Yea, I was also told by someone to run ad aware in safe mode because your not connected to the internet where the viruses could come back. I was told to run ad aware 2 or 3 times to make sure it gets everything.
