say if i open somthing that normaly should open right after i click it is opening 10 to 20 seconds after i click it what can i do to fix this? its seeming to be doning this for everything ive oped this morning and it acks the same once in the program aswell. even minimizing and maximizing windows it realy slow like it jumps bit by bit.

Scan for viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

I suggest booting the ocmputer into Safe Mode before running the scans.

Couldn't have said it better. If this fails to fix the issue, I would just do a clean install.

In fact, I may have started there, but whatever is easiest for you. Frankly I would much rather re-install quickly, then futz around with all the viri and spyware.

i'll do the scan i hate reinstalls. i got to go reinstall all my programs after it takes me like a week to get my pc back to the way i like it.

honestly a reinstall would be a better fix, just like a new pc. and you can just throw what you want to save on a few cd's. but if you really don't want to do that run all anti spyware/virus in safe mode as they said.
Also run the system configuration utility (msconfig) and turn off any startup programs you don't need. leave all the Microsoft ones and stop 3rd party ones you don't want. if you don't recognize one just google it.
And if you run a lot of programs at once than having at least 1 gig of ram will help a lot, and that stuff is pretty cheap these days.

Thats the other thing, RAM is a pretty easy upgrade, and if your system is hurting for RAM to begin with, you may see some significant improvement.

i did scans its runnin fine now. i always use reinstall as a last resort. i hate resetting up the pc. it takes to long.
