Really? My firefox has never shut down once on me, and tends to get fewer annoying pop-ups than IE. The new IE makes me want to punt a baby... I can't put my finger on why, but it something about it makes it not me-friendly. Plus it runs more slowly on my computer for some reason.

The newest IE still has memory leaks too, or last I heard it did. I don't really keep up on IE as much as the others, because IE isn't an attractive browser to me.

Firefox gets pop-ups than internet explorer by default settings, however, each browser can be made more or less safe depending if the user changes settings, installs anti-virus/malware programs and browses responsibly.

Firefox also has add-ons to make browsing safer. Like Ad-block Plus and No-script.

Similar add-ons exist for Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.

Some free programs cause IE popups, though... however none cause firefox ones. I loves me some firefox!

Only thing I usually have up is Sirius Internet Radio. nothing better than to get stoned listening to sirius while im checking out the forums.
