I'm an amateur programmer, even though I've been working with computer languages since early high school.

I once knew BASIC, I was learning C#, but now I'm into java. I make computer games as a hobby, but it's very slow work for me and I wouldn't compare my games with some of the stuff you'll see on the internet (javagaming.org for example, is a gem of hobby gaming)

So yeah, anybody here down with the iterators, loops, arrays, lists, collections, generics, interfaces, and runtime errors?

BASIC
FORTRAN
Algol
PL/I
SQL
Perl
JCL (for various mainframe OSs)
LISP
Smalltalk
COBOL
C+++
IBM Assembly Language (for several different platforms)
Java
Applescript
and probably a few that I don't recall.

Since I retired at the end October in 1999, I haven't done anything other than BASIC and Applescript. I prefer programming canines to programming computers. They're a lot more fun.

I've done limited work in BASIC, C, java, Cocoa, Objective C.

I went to UAT for SWE and DB, I have been programming for 12 years and currently own and run a SD company. I do not design games but know these languages very well:

.NET, BASIC, (SQL since people want to consider this a programming language???), Simple, Ruby, D, Perl, PHP, Java, C90 and C99, C++.

All my programming knowledge is limited to *nix, Win32 and Win64, but If you got questions, throw me a PM.

I got more jobs with SAS on my resume than I got with Pascal, C, C++, Java on my resume.

And a retarded monkey could learn SAS in less than an hour.

Comp. Sci is a pseudo-science.

Back in high school the comp sci courses involved making games like pacman and pong and shit. It was a lot more fun than what you will meet in post-secondary, which is more about data manipulation.

Only Dream Maker language (DM). Which is kinda similar to C++ I think.

I dont think DM counts as a programming language ..

It has A FEW similiarities to C++ however it is not even close to being the same syntax (or language)!
