    pot and communication

suede..that was pretty good and smacks loudly of experience. The truth. There is a certain amount of cruelty-no, damn it, there are a--holes around who get a kick out of forcing their pets to consume smoke, and worse things, I've heard. Those might be the kind who also put date-rape drugs in strange women's drinks, 'cause they can't handle them in a horny but sober state of mind. But that corrupts our thread, and exposes my behaviour for what it is: I smoke at home with only long-term friends. My animal friends get stoned with me, including the fish; they tend to come to the front of the glass and watch the silly people, until they get bored. I have one cat who likes it, and gets to performing for her captive audience; the other cat just gets high and goes for a neap. But horses!
    That's a book by itself.
You have had a similar experience, CaitQ. My Corgi would make the rounds, very politely, but he was always there for the exhaust.
And we had good times, no bad stuff happened, even way back then, I am getting older, not dead, just older, and I smoked back in1959. I love the stuff we have now.

If everyone were the same, you'd be talkin to yourself...you'd be a nutcase. But would you be talkin to yourself? Nobody can be the same.

    Consider this...If everyone is phisically the same and perceives everything in the same way, then each and every one would be different. Why? Because when one person did something, he would know why he did it, while everybody else who is characteristically the same as him would work it out. They'd be like: "Yeah, I know why you did that." While he would be like;
"Damn straight." But therefore he'd be thinking differently, right? That makes him different.

But then again, maybe they'd all do that same thing at the same time. But would they? All these people that are the same are in different enviornments. Even if it is just 3 or 4 feet away from another 'clone'.

Goddamn...head f*ck or what? Personally, I like it when people are different, even if you do get the occasional arseholes.

I surely needed to hear from you guys today; for some darn reason, I was just being a cranky old lady, and I was getting to really hurting myself. You're right. Our differences make us so much more interesting because if everybody had been like me today, there'd be bodies.
You know how, when you are raised in a closed society, different kinds of people seem really different...I saw my first black person when I was eight so I thought there was something really different about them...they were a couple from Nova Scotia, born Canadians, and the lady was a great cook, the guy worked in the plant just like my dad, and they grew a garden so I made a quarter weeding for her, and they were just like us...we were just small town people...when I was thirteen, I found drugs, and boy, did I ever. I heard stories ...My Oriental friend, six feet tall, skinny like a pole, was a real head and he said when he came over here, all white people looked alike. Now he knows us and can tell us apart...now we are all from some place else, and I normally get along with people.../except for power trippers, sadists, ,mindf**rs, cruel people, people wjo like to hurt others..that's what I almost did today, snapped at someone who was trying to be nice, do her job, and I was just...different...glad to be back. Time is tangible, but only as you are letting go of it. You don't even feel it in your hand until it starts to slip away. I remember driving up Moutain Highway in North Vancouver once, long time, and it felt so goood to smoke that spliff, windows rolled up tight so as to not waste it, and the road went on forever, just kept driving up and up and up. Then I hit the top, so I hurried down so I could go back up again, but it wasn't as good the second time. My sense of time was waay off, but it was cool, and I still remember....
Have fun, guys, and be kind tio each other. Not to the point of being a sucker, or a mark,. but be kind...

    Heathen

Heathen, when you do something, and it is something noone else has done lately, the people who notice mighj think you invented something new, a new way of thinking or acting, a whole new ides or something, and only you know that you did it but long time ago so only you know it is the same, but it isn't because time has passed so that makes it different..Ishould type first then smoke...you are a thinker, my boy:wave:  see you soon.

Another little wing to fly off on:
Every person has atleast one major fear of something. That fear can either be little or big, but either way it is an emotion that everyone has. Some people have the mind set that when you fear something, you should try whatever you can do to conquer that fear. In certain aspects, that makes perfect sense and actually seems to be the logical thing to do. Yet, look at it this way. What makes humans different from other animals? Our capacity to feel emotion. One way to look at it is that we need to experience that extreme emotion, whether it be extreme happiness, fear, hunger, whatever. To be human, we must feel strongly. So, why is it wrong to allow a fear to not be conquered? Even if it is an irrational fear, like of spiders, why not just let it be? As long as a fear is not interfering with everyday life, why not just let it continue? It's not going to hurt anything, and it will always give us sentiment whenever faced with it. Another way to rationalize: We feel love for others. When you fall in love for the first time, you have an incredible sense of life. So when you break up with your first love, does that mean that you can't go experience it again because you have already felt it? NO! What I am trying to say is that unless we let every emotion in and accept them for the good and bad aspects, we would be numb. We would no longer be humans but just another animal. Even though some of my fears are petty, they are still my fears and I believe that those somewhat define who I am as a person. I don't know, just crazy ramblings.

    Hi, CaitiQ

I can communicate with my cat with almost as much truth as with people, and I know she won't lie to me; but she does try to fool me sometimes, and she surely gets mad at me when I can't quite get what she is trying to tell me...I'm getting better at it.
She has incredible capacity to express emotions and she uses it to good advantage. She will grab my hand with her teeth and hold on really tight, and squeeze her eyes closed, and I am supposed to know she is saying, "I love you THIIIIS much!"
People don't apreciate the one thing we have that is truly mystical, truly God-given, truly our own...our souls. I cannot believe that any living creature does not also have a soul.
I usesd to feed my pony the pot leaves that dried up at the bottom of my outdoor plants, and he would go through my pockets to find the pot. Then he would follow me for hours while I did my work around the place, hoping that I would give him more; his diligence got him a puff or some more leaves, and he caught on to tricks so fast, and you bet I believe we are all different, but that thread that binds all living things is as close to being a soul as any definition I can find...
How about people who can remember past lives? Since every cell in our bodies has been somewhere else before, why can't we have some cell memory of a past time? My cats all tell me they were royalty in former lives and therefore I should treat them as such...nice smoke does that to me.....

I fear violence. I don't watch it, I don't read it, I don't talk it, and I know loud noise and violent actions cause fear in all creatures......

sorry to burst everyone's bubble here but i heard it from the discovery channel (so it must be true! hahah  ). even tho it APPEARs humans are "infinitely" all different and animals all look similar to each other, humans are actually extremely close genetically.

while there are hundreds of species of certain animals. itz all in the way you view the world....most humans view it from the human perspective, but when ur high u have to opportunity to see it from a "new" perspective ;) ya know wut i mean...just understand the world isnt necessarily the way you see it

i rekon that there are zillions of combinations of people but i think that everyone on the planet has a look-a-like but in the oppostie gender.. u might think im crazy but i have seen many people and then seen the exact same person but in the opposite sex(mostly my friends).

i think that god(or whoever or whatever created us) has been making humans but then has run out of ideas so he has to double on features etc thus creating look-a-likes. which also includes females and males being disected and stuck together to make new humans with existing (used ) parts.

Yeah I got that thought to. Like lets say we don't remember stuff from our other lives point of view because if we do then we'd be more biased and wouldn't learn things through our own specific way which is what counts if we want to develop into a more enlightened and knowledgeable soul or whatnot. I dont know. Lol. Let me know if this sounds crazy. :weird::weird::blazed:

Well, up until the 1500's, the worlds population was less than 500 Million... And in BC times, it was as low as 10 million... So with the amount of possibilities for people... I doubt any have been repeated physically... even by chance

love is simply a trait our ancestors developed during a period where the human population was strikingly low, possibly due to lack of cooperation. love made it so humans cared for eachother, leading to a recovery of the species.

I think that everything is absolutely connected. My opinion is that the make-up of the universe is one singular stream of energy that flows into our bodies and allows us to experience life. Life could very well simply(well actually extremely complicatedly)be the universe experiencing itself subjectively. We could all be a part of the exact same thing, all the same energy and consciousness only experiencing itself, giving us the impression that the universe is actually separate from ourselves as humans.

I think i noticed how movies, yes movies! give civilians a look of whats soon to come, so that when it comes out there is change without much confusion/chaos.
such as how theyre were movies of going into space before we actually went there. or movies about 2012, movies about the next kind of techknowlegdy, next kind of cars. etc. Start making movies about how society will be after legalization!

Grab your budd, turn on spondgebob, and put it on mute!

    What if...

Many years ago civilization as it was known was coming to an end. Only a small portion of the population was saved and sent to a new place to live. This fraction would be large enough to live as a big community, but society would never be the same. This small pool of beings would have been sent to a new location unlike one they have never known before. Over time, as science has it, this group of beings adapts to their new environment and eventually produce future generations that do not know of their ancestor’s past in a different world. These future generations evolve and change over the course of thousands of years. At first, time is slow, and society exists in ages. Then towards the end, memorable epochs begin to exist in decades then years, months and days.. until, it comes time again for civilization to end.

Between this time, as the beings’ society progresses, they become more educated and begin to realize things. They start to question the origin of their existence and develop many theories. They also begin to wonder about life aside from their own in places and even worlds that is not their own. Around this time, the beings will consider the possibility of aliens, or of unknown or foreign states. Here they had the potential to discover their ancestors prevail in parallel worlds parallel to the places their ancestors survive on, that the “unknown life” outside their planet was the answer to existence. That one day, sooner than they know they would soon have descendants in another realm making and failing to make the same realizations they made. There was a chance they change this peculiar life cycle but they were too focused on personal needs and started to use their knowledge for selfish reasons that resulted in violence and destruction, rather than creation and discovery.
