It was a good year, the doomsday supporters were proven wrong – December 21, 2012 came and went, and nothing happened... Marijuana collectives have opened in Arizona and New Jersey – Washington and Colorado legalized marijuana (sorry Oregon), and Marijuana law reform made quantum leaps forward. Common sense won out over ignorance on several key court battles as 2012 came to a grinding close, and it would appear that the feds crackdown has diminished in many of the medical marijuana states around the US. As if that wasn't enough, two new states have been added to the medical marijuana club… Welcome Connecticut and Massachusetts. Overcoming and persevering despite numerous challenges, the marijuana industry will fondly remember 2012 as a moment in history – a time where people reached out, worked together and changed outdated marijuana laws for the betterment of society, the sick and the young.
