... Vs. First Check(c) take-home piss cup. discuss.

this actually isn't information for myself for once, but for a brother named Sean.

Anyone care to shed some light on this mysterious-sounding piece of equipment?

It isn't mysterious at all. Do a search using first check as the keywords. It has been discussed hundreds of times.

Oh no, we both know all about the First Check lol trust me..he managed to find out what his company is running his test on. its the same cut-off as the First Check 50ng/ml ..he passed that, he wants to know about this tester they're using. Basically he's paranoid like me and feels he might fail on the Analyzer even though he passed his First Check :p

(i've been helping him given my own situation that you saw)

Like Sec stated, theres nothing mysterious or special about the AU800 - its a pass/fail screen just like any assay screen. The sample would still have to go to the GC/MS if it failed the AU800.
Typical cutoff levels are 50 ng which is the same as the home test kits.
