Yo I need help figuring out what song this is...I only remember part of the chorus(I am not even sure if these are correct lyrics).

I think its from a Marley or something.

From what I remember it goes something like...

    Nooooo woman cry!
    Cause the....
    ....in the streets and I!

I dont think the lyrics on the first line are right but it sounds something like that.

I know someone on here knows what song Im talking about so if no one can figure it out from this maybe Ill upload an audio file and try to sing it :)eek:) to see if it sounds more familiar.

    No woman no cry
    No woman no cry
    No woman no cry
    No woman no cry
Cause I remember when we used to sit
In a government yard in Trenchtown
    Observing the hypocrites
Mingle with the good people we meet
Good friends we have, Oh, good friends we have lost
    Along the way
    In this great future,
    You can't forget your past
So dry your tears, I seh
    No woman no cry
    No woman no cry
Little darling, don't shed no tears
    No woman no cry
Said I remember when we use to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire lights
I seh, log would burnin' through the nights
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge
Of which i'll share with you
My feet is my only carriage
And so i've got to push on thru,
    Oh, while i'm gone
    Everything 's gonna be alright
    Everything 's gonna be alright
    No woman no cry
    No woman no cry
    I seh little darlin'
    Don't shed no tears
    No woman no cry.

If those are the right lyrics then yes it's No Woman, No Cry. One of my favorite songs by him.

That sounds like that song with biggie smalls in it called "Hold Ya Head"

Yep, I checked and here are the lyrics-

Woman hold her head and cry
Cause her son had been shot down in the street and died

just listened to that song, it is a really good song, but except for the part with Bob Marley it doesn't sound like reggae. My guess is he is talking about "no woman, no cry"

Yes to the "women hold her head and cry ect"

There is a rap song your probably thing of by notorious B.I.G. called "Hold ya head"

Thats a mix of bob marley singing that verse, then after biggy smalls rapping it away.
