Do what the seed banks do: mail them. The worst that could happen is that they are discovered in the mail and confiscated.

There's a lot of talk at the sister site, Gardenscure.com, about this very subject and thats not the worst that can happen. The authorities now know that you want to grow something so that COULD trigger an investigation. Is it going to happen? Probably not and you may or may not get a letter saying your shit has been taken.
The truly worst case scenario is that LEO lets the seeds through and comes a knocking on your door 60 days after the seeds arrive.

Actually, that's not unheard of - and they might not even wait. There was a news article on here not too long ago about the mayor of some town getting busted like that (although it was pot, not seeds). The cops became aware somehow that there was a shipment of illegal goods on its way to this guy's house, so all they did was wait until he signed for them and then they came around and busted him. Once it's in your possession, there's not really a whole lot you can do besides claim, "I didn't know what was in it," and hope that a jury buys it. Of course, should the cops discover that you've received a shipment of seeds AND you've got supplies laying around to setup a grow-op, then that excuse probably wouldn't even be worth your breath.

OP, why don't you just buy a bag that's already got seeds in it? Even seeds coming from weed that's not-so-great can be carefully cultivated into a nice product, if you're willing to invest the time and energy to turn it into such. That seems a little better than receiving a shipment and *hoping* no one discovered what it was at any time before it reached you...

I know why he wants to buy seeds. Its so he can have good genetics. Bagseed is okay for your first grow op. I'm not saying you'll get busted. Most likely the transaction will take place and no one will be the wiser. The best thing to do is have the seeds sent to a PO box or some other location other than where you're growing.
Check out the sister site, Gardenscure.com as there are a ton of threads dealing with this very subject and you'll find that most posters have no issues with the authorities. Its the seedbanks that are the problem.

What might happen and what actually does happen are two different things. I've never heard of anyone getting busted for seeds that were discovered in the mail. The feds have bigger fish to fry. Their agents have stated that they're not interested in anything short of 100 pounds or 100 plants.

10 seeds could easily turn into 100 plants.
If you're running a Sea of Green grow op and its a decent sized grow op, you could easily have 100 clones at various stages of vegging/flowering. Especially if you've set it up so that you're harvesting weekly.
    Just saying......

And the world could end tomorrow...

Again, you're speculating about what could be and ignoring what is. I've been reading these forums and Gardenscure for years and have never seen a single report or news item about someone getting busted because seeds were being sent to them through the mail. Have you? Please provide a link.

Why are you so eager to frighten people about something that doesn't happen?

Law enforcement isn't stupid. When they find out you bought 10 seeds for 50 bucks, what do you think they'll deduce from that? There are several reasons that grow ops get busted. Now they aren't going to arrest you for buying some seeds. No, they'll wait awhile and let you hang yourself. They'll start checking out your trash. They'll do a sweep of your house with FLIR. They'll start following you. A couple of passes in the copter. Once they figure out where your grow op is at, then thats all she wrote. You need to go into that kind of operation with your eyes wide open to all the possibilities.
And yes 10 seeds CAN turn into 10 mother plants supplying you with over 100 clones. Don't act like thats an impossibility. If you're familiar with the Sea of Green growing techniques, you'll know you need a lot of clones for that to work.
BTW.......if you're caught operating a large Sea of green grow op, your world WILL end tomorrow.

99% of the time grow ops are "BUSTED" because of stealing electricity. the other 1% is because someone walks by and can smell it or someone rolls when they get caught

Some steal it and others just use an unusual amount of juice for a standard residential home. Having 10 1000W HID lights burning on an 18/6 or 24/0 schedule can greatly increase your usage to the point that will draw attention from the electric company who MAY contact the authorities.

First off, I advise you to cross at the peace arch, that is the busiest border crossing from the Vancouver area to the states, so you are less likely to be searched there. I am not saying it doesn't happen, but your chances are better there.

When you pass through the checkpoint, they will ask you some questions, answer their questions as honestly as you can, even saying you are going to/coming home from a night club is fine, it shows them that you aren't worried about telling them what you were doing up there. Keep your story the same to and from, as they keep a record of your answers along with your license plate number.

Get the seeds double vacuum sealed while you are in Canada and drop them into your windshield fluid container attached to a string. Lastly, make sure you have proper documentation, your drivers license isn't proof of citizenship, you will need a passport and a birth certificate.

    Good luck.
