Has anyone here worked in an environment with totally surprise ua's? Any tips and tricks for being prepared for and passing those? My hubby just passed a pre-employment UA for ODOT using Urine Luck. First day he found out they do randoms. He was told they do them in the morning before the employees leave for their routes and that he would know because there would be a trailer in the parking lot. (Why would they tell him that?) Anyway, the Urine Luck worked like a charm. He does not want to quit smoking and personally I think he has a personality disorder when he doesn't smoke so we're all happiest when he does. I called the Urine Luck company and they said that the product could be reheated an unlimited number of times. He's been nuking it before work and carrying it in his shorts wrapped in a handwarmer. At this point it would probably be worth the investment to buy a urinator or other warming device because those handwarmers are $1.25 each. I was watching their video and it says to use a fresh sample every time - even when using synthetic. We live in Oregon and it would be easy to get a prescription. Does anyone know how that works in regards to drug testing and odot imparticular? I would hate for him to get in a wreck and pass out and have them give him a cath or something. Thanks for your help! This site really calmed our nerves and helped us prepare for the pre-employment test. Practice, practice, practice!

Answered my own question about the card from the oregon dhs site 15) What should I tell my employer if I am subjected to a drug test? The Oregon Medical Marijuana Act states that employers are not required to accommodate employees who use medical marijuana. You may wish to consult an attorney about whether or not to tell your employer that you are a patient in the OMMP. A patient may contact the OMMP in writing to ask the Program to release information about the patient’s registration to an employer.

If you are a DOT regulated employee, and you tell your employer that you use marijuana, you will lose your job. The employer is forbidden by regulation from using any driver who admits or that the employer knows is using a banned substance. They tell you to use a fresh sample after each use because then they can sell more.

Well that kind of sucks but its good to know. Obviously quitting would be the best alternative but I don't think the will power is there and it may never be. I guess the only thing that card is good for is to keep you from going to prison if you get caught growing or carrying herb. Anyone here have a used warming device they'd like to part with?
