Been on the job a couple days. Was tested 6 days ago at 11am by the infamous labcorp. Feel good about it, clean 11 days, dilution method, very rare smoker. Lady at the lab gives me TWO chain of custody forms, my copy and employer copy!

What the hell am I supposed to do, I have been out of my wits for a few days? I am thinking about handing the employer copy tomorrow but, honestly, would they not already know the results?

I urgently ask this forum for sound advice.

Sometimes they might even not know you tested or that they need to look for results if you have their copy. Sometimes they don't need their copy, they access a copy online. It all depends on what the employer has arranged with their TPA or the Lab. If you weren't meant to have the employer copy and were given that copy by mistake, you should call and see if they need it. IF they don't, then if doesn't matter that you have their copy. If they do need their copy, you won't get the job if you keep it because they would need their copy before you could be hired.

Chances are, you passed. Bite the bullet and call them. Tell them you didn't realize that the copy you have says "employer copy" at the bottom. Don't let them know you also have your copy, that way you can claim that the collection facility gave you the wrong copy by mistake.

It is time to find out - call them.

Called them and they said it wasn't needed. So even when the lab tech told me to give the form to my employers I didn't have to. They had access to it already! Thank you, Sec!

stupidtests

i recently tested at quest and they did the same thing. gave me my copy & told me the other copy was for the employer. i just figured the employer didn't need their copy. apparently they didn't b/c they called on that friday to say my test was diluted.

I got two copies as well. I stuck my "employer's" copy in with my other employment papers and handed it in.
