Hey all, well I waited a while before I signed up again for another trucking company, and of course I'm going to get tested. I had stopped smoking late feb. Before then I was kind a heavy smoker, about 2-3 joints in bong hits or so. Then mid march I smoked a very, very small hit from a bong, then 2 weeks later did the same. Now I haven't smoked since that, but I have gotten..well bigger. So I wanna know if gaining weight affects the THC from leaving your system and if I'm good to pass or not. I test Monday.

I believe so, yes, because THC is fat soluble.

I have heard of people testing positive after 6 months of abstinence, however that is extremely rare. Usually it is roughly 30-45 days. Yes, it does depend somewhat on your body mass and metabolism.

THC is Not water soluble and it does bind to your fat cells, in spite of the fact all effects from Cannabis has worn off.

UA's are a ridiculous waste of money. They seek consumption of substance to determine impairment. UA's cannot determine any level of impairment, only presence of the use of a substance.

the Most ridiculous thing of all, a worker can do a line of coke, or any other drug, in the parking lot, walk into work, give a UA, report to their work station higher than a kite...and still pass the test because the drugs have not metabolized through their systems yet....however, the month long abstinence from Cannabis, no effects from its use left, will get the guy behind you fired....work-place safety my ass, Drug testing profits rule, right?

Absolutely!!! I smoked on the hour, every hour, for 15 years, in which I became 50 lb overweight. It took me over 4 months to test clean. Had a lot of fat to burn, although, I didn't have to burn it all... Still got my pop belly. Damn thing!

IF you haven't smoked in 3 months, you should test negative. Get a home test and test yourself tomorrow morning without drinking fluids throughout the night. Use your first pee of the day. If any of your urine contains THC, that one will. If you test negative using the home test as I instructed, you have no worries.

Just read what I wrote. Also, I've had many many false results from the home test kits. Seriously, I've spent hundreds of $$$ testing myself while trying to get clean (those 4+ months), both at home and the lab (since I can get lab orders for free because I know a doctor), and I'd say those home kits are at least 10% less reliable than a lab. Then again, if that's all you got, that's you got.

If you can get lab orders for free, why did you spend hundreds of $$$ on testing? Home tests bought wholesale would cost pennies compared to the price paid by those purchasing in a drug store. I know, I buy them wholesale. The cup tests cost less than $3, the dip style tests cost $0.60 each. Unless you were testing yourself several times a day, there would be no reason for you to put out hundreds of dollars.

Actually, not just because I smoked so much, but also because I had gained like 60 lb in that time (the THC had been binding to my fat cells)... At least that's what a doctor and lab tech told me.

Wow, those are some interesting prices you're quoting for test kits. Which kits are those? I was using the ones I found at Walgreens... They're like $20 a piece and the lab tests were $45 a piece... The orders are what I got free... Most people would have to sit in the waiting room and pay the doctor visit fee, or something.

Just so everyone else knows (for future reference), if you have months to get clean of THC, invest in some THC tests online. The $20 tests cost so much because the lab test is included. You collect your pee, test it at home, if you receive a non-negative result on the home test, you are supposed to send the specimen to the laboratory for confirmation.

You don't need a doctor's order to take a drug test. Just go to any drug testing place (look in the yellow pages under 'Drug Testing' or 'Employment Services') and ask for a drug test. It would cost anywhere from $50 to $80 or so for a lab test, which would tell you quantitative levels of THC.

Get a few dozen dip stick style tests online for a buck or two apiece. You can test yourself every other morning or so.

Take a lab test every 4 weeks or so and you would have a great idea how fast the THC is leaving your body. Just remember, before each and every test, try to take in the same quantity of fluids. That way, you are comparing apples to apples.
