I last smoked 24 days ago. I had been smoking for 5 days consecutively, a little more than an eighth total. Before that it had been about thirty days since I had smoked last.

Last week I didn't eat any carbs Tues through Fri and lost seven pounds. I started eating like mad Friday night and have gained about 5 pounds back. I weigh about 240---I'm a bit heavy. I should probably weigh about 185-190.

Today I drank water all day---probably about a gallon. I peed about every twenty minutes for the last three hours or so before I took the test. I took five 250 mg aspirin two hours before I pissed in the cup.

I pissed in the cup pretty clearly---only a twinge of yellow tint. It looked pretty "low gravity", and was sealed and thrown in the freezer.


How would you feel if you were me?

it sounds like you are going to be dilute.... did you take any creatine the days before the test?

No, no creatine. Like a dummy, I didn't start looking into it until today. If it comes back as a "dilute-negative", I'll just have to go back, right? No big deal?

It depends on why you took the test, was it employment, probation, what?

Employment will:
1. Accept the test as dilute
2. Require you to re-test
3. Reject you outright for being dilute

Probation will
1. Accept the test as a negative
2. Not accept as negative, probably consider it a tampered test

It is up to the person who orders the test, what they do with the results.

depends, but there's probably a good chance if you are dilute you can re-test. Have you tried a home test? If you can pass your first void of the morning, you won't have to over-hydrate before your test. If you can't, then make sure you have been taking creatine for a couple of days prior to retesting and follow the dilution sticky.

I took a home test a few minutes ago and it came up negative. Urine wasn't very "diluted-looking". It seemed to have more weight and color back.

My PO and I seem to have a good relationship. I'm not like most that show up in his office. Suit and tie, professional career, I completed all the terms of my probation as soon as possible, etc...

I think that if I show up as a neg-dilute, worst case---he will ask for a re-test, but you never know, right?

Either way, can they really violate you or legally do anything to you for drinking copious amounts of water?

It they feel you are trying to adulterate the test, yes, they can prosecute you for attempting to beat a legally administered drug test. It actually is agains the law in my State.

Just drink no more than the dilution sticky recommends. You probably don't even need that much fluid.

I don't think I'd have to worry about that, but for the sake of debate...

That'd be kinda hard to prove in court, wouldn't it?

Not if you are caught subbing, adulterating or provide a specimen that is found to be inconsistent with human urine.
