Hi All! I have a pre employment drug screen. The only drug that I use is pot. I am mid 40s five feet 9 inches tall. I tip the scale at 238. Despite my weight I am pretty active. Prior to June 1, I smoked every day for a year. The first 12 days of June I did not smoke. I smoked the next six days in moderation and have not smoked for the last 12 days. The test could be a minimum of 2 weeks from now. I plan on testing myself after 20 days of abstinence. I have been reading a report by a federal commission that states that the half-life of pot in the body was previously over stated. According to the study a “chronic user”, on average could test clean in 10 to 20 days after the last time of use. Previous thoughts were 35 days. Any input is appreciated http://www.ndci.org/NDCIR%20VI.pdf is the link to the doc that I have been reading.

I think you should test yourself to find out exactly how long it takes YOU to test negative. It doesn't matter how long it takes other chronic users to pass the test. You are concerned only with how long it takes YOU to pass the test. Get the dip style tests relativly inexpensive online. Do a Google search for drug tests.

how good was the weed you smoked? if it was high quality it'll take much longer. if it were me, i wouldn't worry about some article i found. i'd be studying the stickys at the top of the page, doing home tests and all the other things suggested. there are too many subjective factors to generalize about the half-life of THC in the body. read the stickys, read 'em again, study 'em and follow 'em. and whatever you do, if you decide to go with dilution, follow ALL the diretions. the specific gravity and creatine levels can really mess up your whole plan. trust me.

Thanks for the feedback. Are there any particular dip tests that are better than another. Can You suggest a Site that sells them at reasonable prices? What should I expect to pay for such a test?

No, I can't recommend a site. I get mine from a wholesaler, not on line. Expect to pay about $2 - $3 online for a dip style THC test. The Drug Courts are usually a bit off the mark in their facts. In all the publications I have read, they seem to be just a bit wrong on their detection times, among other topics comparred to what I have seen in my office and what I read here. The Drug Court's findings are based on what the donors tell them. Rarely is a donor truthful about their past usage and abstinance when confronted in court. Usually, they are truthful here, because they want accurate information based on their particular situation. In court, they are trying to put themselves in the best possible light.
