Default Quest 35186N SAP 9-50 W/NIT

1. Does anyone know what type of test "Quest 35186N SAP 9-50 W/NIT" is? Is that an instant test? EMIT? or GC?
2. Does it matter which Quest location I take it at? Does one state have different testing guidelines?
3. On the day of the test it will have been 35 days since I ate a cookie, and smoked twice in a week, prior to that I had smoked about 1-2 times a month. I am 130 pounds and have been exercising everyday for the last 3 weeks. How soon before the test should I stop exercising to stop the thc from coming out of my fat?
4. I've been passing the take home tests but I'm concerned that the Quest test above may be more strict. Any validity to that?

1. 9-panel lab test

2. No... and... No

3. Anytime now. You will probably test negative anyway. You have been passing home tests, so there is no reason to believe you won't pass an employment test

4. No reason to worry about that (see last sentence, #3)

Thanks, when you say lab test does that mean EMIT followed by GC confirmation? Also, do you know how that 9-panel test is differerent than other Quest 9-panels?

Is there anyway to call Quest after you've taken the test to confirm it was negative -- or do you have to go through the employer.

A. It is the same as any other 9-panel test. All lab tests are done using an emit with GC/MS confirmation for non-negatives.

B. No, youmust go threough the employer. They are paying for the test, they get the results.

Thanks for being so helpful --. I'm going to stop exercising today, 9 days before the test then and will verify my negative test score with a take home test tomorrow morning. A few more questions:
1. How long will it take a Quest MRO to call me if I got a positive score (I will take the test on a Wednesday afternoon)?
2. Just want to confirm what I've read so far, that assuming my thc levels are below 50ng for the EMIT test -- they will also be below 15ng on the GC test if for some reason there's a false positive with EMIT. The rationale I saw for this was that the GC test for something much more specifit than EMIT.
3. Should I eat carbs, fatty food, or protein up until the test?
4. I don't think I need to sub or dilute the whole B2/creatine sequience I just want to get my thc levels down as low as possible. How much color needs to be in the urine for it not to be rejected as diluted?

1. Quest will not call. If your specimen is positive, a doctor, or Medical Review Officer (MRO) must not be affiliated with a laboratory. The MRO is hired by the TPA or the Employer. Probably not until at least the following Monday.

2. IF the EMIT is negative, there will be no GC/MS test. The GC/MS is more specific, but it is only run on those specimens that show a non-negative on the EMIT screening.

3. Probably not necessary for you to do anything special. Your usage was long ago enough and light enough that you probably will test negative no matter what you do. That is why you took the home tests.

4. Color has nothing to do with a lab test. Don't over drink the water prior to your test. Just go in the test facility and pee normally. IF you try to dilute (unnecessary, IMO) you will probably overdo it.

Don't overthink this. You will be ok unless you blow it by trying to do something you don't understand and don't need to do.

1. I guess my only concern remaining is if for some reasons my EMIT test is false positive (from what I understand a 1% chance) and then they do the GC test with the 15ng tolerance -- or if for some reason the EMIT tolerance is less than 50/ng. What is your experience with false positives and then the GC test? How quickly will Quest do the GC test after a positive EMIT test?

2. I have seen mixed information online about the accuracy of the take home tests. SEC what's your opinion?

3. Is the EMIT test they do at quest basically just an instant test where they stick a 9-tab tester into the urine -- like you can buy online, or is it something else?

Nervous nelly over here.

1. There are no false positives. I have had specimens forwarded to confrimation testing due to a non-negative EMIT test only to come back as negative. The EMIT on this test is NOT less than 50 ng/mL

They usually run the confirmation within a day of the EMIT if the EMIT shows non-negative. It takes approximately 3-5 days to clear the GC/MS.

2. Home tests are 99.6% acurate according to the FDA insert in the package. I concur with that.

3. It is somewhat more sophisticated than that, but the general idea is the same.

Get over it! Breathe in...... Breathe out..... Breathe in...... Breathe out.

Relax. RE-read what I have written. You should pass. I give you a 99% chance of passing. (I usually never give 100%, just for caution sake).
