Hi - noob here, though been lurking for a few weeks. I've read, read, and reread. Don't mean to be redundant, just trying to get some opinions on my situation in particular, so any advice is appreciated. I'm taking the 35105N SAP 5-50 w/NIT at Quest Diagnostics.

Here's my info:

25, very, very thin, lifelong super fast, high metabolism. I'm about 5'4, 100lbs. max.

Was only an occasional/rare smoker until February, began smoking every day, sometimes 2-3 blunts a day, until late June. Last week of June/first week of July, I only smoked about 3-4 doobies a week. I stopped the day I found out I had to take a UA. As of today, I'm 12 days clean, and I'm trying to sked my pre-employment urine test for Thursday, so I'll be a full 2 weeks clean.

I took the "First Check" home test twice. Both times I passed without diluting, but both times it was a very, very faint line. Definitely there, but faint. The 2nd time I tested, it was my first piss of the day. (photo below)



To be safe, I got another brand of home test, from Walgreen's called "At Home" - took this one this morning off my first piss of the day. Extremely, extremely faint line. Could have gone either way, but I doubt it would have shown up on photo or photocopy.

So now I'm deciding what's the best option in my situation. Needless to say, this is a must-have gig. I figure I have 3 options:

1. Dilute using N2's method. The paperwork that came with my lab form specifically said to limit my fluid intake the day of the test, as that can precipitate the need for a retest. So if I over-dilute, at least it seems like I'd have a chance to retake it hopefully. I've got B-12 complex at home, and have been eating red meat nonstop the past week or so, just in case I decided to take this route.

2. Sub using my friend's clean pee. I know for a fact she doesn't do any drugs, but the reason I know this is because she has a heart condition. She has meds she takes for that (but says she forgets to take them half the time).. is that something that would show up in the standard UA?

3. Sub using synthetic. I know my local head shop sells some kind of synthetic urine, though I'm not sure which brand yet. I've subbed before using a clean friend's pee so I'm not too worried about temperature and whatnot. As someone said, it's not "rocket surgery." lol. Problem is.. I'm DEATHLY afraid that the labs have some way to detect synthetic urine once past the simple, instant tests they give you there. I see lots of threads saying they can't, but many of those are old, so just looking for any recent reassurance, particularly with anyone who's dealt with Quest. Also, are there any synthetic urine brands to stay away from or should I be pretty safe just using what my headshop has?
