Hi everyone -- thanks for the vast info on drug testing. I wish I'd found this site prior to the test I took last Wednesday. I've heard nothing, but had passed two at-home tests with the faintest line prior to the Quest test. I've go no metabolism at all and had smoked lightly -- 2 to 4 hits -- for 30 days straight, then stopped for 15 days prior to test. Prior, I had not smoked for nearly a year. I'm 50, overweight and short. And I am clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I wonder about the following:

1) Will Quest keep my results in a database? Can they use the results, say if I applied to them?

2) Do any laws restrict my employer from revealing the results of my test to interested parties?

3) Is a dilute result always retested or is that up to the employer? Does a diluted sample automatically go directly through the GC/MS test?

4) Is there any valid reason for coming up with a dilute, should I be questioned about it?

If anyone thinks I could possibly pass this test, let me know! I can barely eat or sleep when I consider the consequences of this insane situation I've created.

No, an employer cannot use the results gained from another employer. Results cannot be shared without your expressed written consent.

It is up to the employer and.. No, it doesn't.
You will be called for dilute if your specimen is found to be soooo diluted that it defys the norms of human urine.

You seem worried about diluted results. How much fluid did you drink prior to your test?

I guess I drank six coffees, maybe 40 oz. water and 1 small gatorade.

I guess I'm so scared to fail, I'm most hopeful for a dilute :-)

All in all, I drank the coffee from 7am till noon; then water and gatorade from 2pm to 4pm.

BTW, what do you think the faint line on a negative result At-Home Test might mean? Wouldn't that be questionable at the lab?

No. a line is a line is a line is a negative.

With drinking 40 ounces of water plus 16 ounces of gatorade over 2 hours, you might show diluted. It won't be overly diluted, but it might show below the level of normal pee. I think you will be ok though. When you know, let us know.
