Hi Jeff - Was this for a Pre-Employment drug screening? Also, I'll post my results early next week from my test with the Quickfix 4.0 batch F11Y-07. I hope we both pass.

I would be curious to know what the actual MRO report says. I would place credence on what the MRO reported rather than some letter from an HR department.

As I stated earlier, labs practicing in the US can only test for drug metabolites, pH, SG, creatinine, certain oxidants and excessive nitrites. Under this criteria, a "non-human" sample is ruled when the creatinine concentration is less than 2 mg/dL and the specific gravity is less than or equal to 1.0010 or greater than or equal to 1.0200. Readings of this type would occur if the QF batch is old, or if its been exposed to direct sunlight.

Lew - I hate to bother you but how long does Quickfix 4.0 have in direct sunlight before it starts messing up the Gravity and Creatinine levels?

Also, from your experience how many times have you read Quickfix 4.0 has failed a Lab Test? This is the only post from Bluefloor I found on the net that claims a sample given at temp 90-100 was detected at a lab.

Please follow up on this bluefloor. This could be life changing info for some of us.
You should demand the results and deny and wrong doing. You have nothing to lose at this point except your time.
Also, did you mention to any of your co-workers that you subbed?

I will try calling the lab sometime this week. I know I can at least get a chain of custody for the test. It was pre-employment, so I was only there for 1 day and didn't tell anyone there

Also, I purchased the QF Saturday (8/2), drove home with it in the box. When I got home, I put it around my thigh (with my pants on to test walking around with it) and began heating it for about an hour with the heat pack before I went to the test place (so I had it for about 3 hours before I used it).

Does anyone know if microwaving it can mess up the sample? I microwaved it for about 8 seconds, but I don't know how what power level the microwave is on (its kind of old and I don't know how to check or adjust it). Just wondering if it is nuked too long, can that mess up the sample?

No on the heating. QF can be heated over and over but not stored in the heat. I have over heated it and even ran the temp strip off the chart but it always recovered fine. I am wondering how long it sat on the store shelf where you bought it. Do you remember if everything looked like this?

You can actually request a copy of the test results from your employer. You were employed one day, so you can, in writing, request a copy of your personnel file and the test results.
