Hello all...

I am a chronic smoker (app. three times a day for the past five years) and I am about 200 pounds with a decent metabolism. I keep very active, I work in a warehouse so I am always on my feet and lifting things and run at least three times a week (app. three miles). When I first learned that I would be taking a pre-employment test (about a month ago), I quit for a week. I was then told, incorrectly, that the test was off so I took up smoking again for two weeks at my normal clip.

I have now learned that I will indeed have to take the test, so I have stopped again. The test will be at least two weeks from today (21 August 2008). I drink about three liters of water a day in addition to a number of cups of coffee. I have since added tea (green tea and something called "detox tea" you can buy in the grocery store) and cranberry juice to my daily intake. I also plan to run every day between now and the date of the test.

Can anyone tell me what my chances of passing are? I know something like this varies greatly by case, I would just like an idea of where I stand. I would like to avoid using a drink or something of that nature, if I can. Is there anything else I should be doing to better prepare myself? I appreciate any help or information anyone will be able to provide.

the tea, cranberry, water - none of that will help at this point.

You have two weeks. I recommend (strongly) that you use the time reading this forum and learning what your options are and how to enhance your chances of passing. Your questions have been answered thousands of times here.

Get a couple home tests so you can see if you are close to passing or not and you can test yourself periodically to see what your progress is.

They are relatively cheap on ebay or other internet vendor.

Thank you for your help, this is far and away the most informative site I have visited. I just have one question regarding the dillution method. What is the purpose of the aspirin? Does it effect negative/positive results or just whether or not the piss is dilluted? I only ask because I am testing dillution with a home test today and don't have any aspirin in the house. I will pick it up before the test, I am just wondering if I should get it before I do the home test. Thanks again...

I passed the home test today (just barely, however, the THC line was very, very faint). I used the dilution method posted here, minus the aspirin. I still have a few days before test time so I am going to test myself again before I go to the doctor, this time using the aspirin. I go later this week so I will post my results when they become available. Thank you again for everyone who has taken the time to post this valuable information. I feel much better about my test, particularly because I was planning on just buying a drink before I came to this site.

I did dilution too today and passed with a faint but distinct pink line.... I did the aspirin too, and I have 18 days clean... (see my post below for details...)

My only issue - I am still "waiting in the wings" to see if I have a hair or a urine test!

Conservative;
the aspirin IMO, is unnecessary. It used to help with the instant type of tests, however, that is now a bit outdated. I don't believe the aspirin helps with anything other than the headache you get from worrying about the upcoming test.

Do you think I should use the rolaids or tums? I only drank gatorade and used a B complex last time.
