Hey, I have a drug test tomorrow and a friend of mine gave me his piss tonight. I keep reading in the forum that it's best if you get the piss 1-2 hours before the test. Does this really matter?

yes it does matter a lot actually - when doing a urine test they test the urine for chemicals but they also take the temperature to make sure it is at around body temp. i've never had a test myself but i've read about it and that's what almost everything out there says. regardless good luck brother, wish you well!

I'm using N2's methods for warming the pee (sticking it in my crotch, using hot water on my way to test to make sure it stays at around 95-100. I'm just not sure if the pee will "go bad" between tonight and tomorrow morning.

Also, does anyone know around how long you wait to go pee at Quest? I've always tested at Labcorp in the past and I've had to take a number and wait to pee..

Temperature is not the reason you use fresh pee. It only stays warm for a few minutes. The reason you want fresh pee is that human urine begins to break down at room temperature in around eight hours. It'll keep refrigerated for a couple of weeks and indefinitely if frozen.

Buzzby, you's da man. Thanks! To be honest, I'm not sure what time my friend pee'd in the bottle, but I popped it in the fridge about 30 min. ago and I picked it up from him around 11pm. It's now 3am. Assuming the piss sat out for about 7-8 hours before I picked it up, will it still work? Or is it more of a 50/50 thing at this point?

Sec might be able to tell you. All I know is what I've been told: deterioration becomes detectable after eight hours at room temperature. It sounds like your sample has been out at least 10.5 hours. It would spend more time at even warmer temperatures by the time you dropped your sample.

Well, I took the test on Wednesday. Used some tips from N2's post to get temp right. I wore 3 pairs of briefs and used those foot heat pads to get the sample to the right temp, worked like a charm. Just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for the responses guys! The job I had to take the test for needed me to start asap, so I'm working already and my continued employment is dependent on the results, so hopefully all will be well.
