Okay, I have a blood and urine test on Saturday that is for my doctor to run some tests.

Male
17 years old but 18 in 2 months
220 pounds
6 feet
I am chubby yet I can bike a good 10 km without even panting.
Smoked just about 1g daily for 9 months now
I smoke alone (no friends)

The main reason I want to make sure I pass this test is to make my mom think that I have been clean for a long time. She found my bong on Friday and already knows I smoked pot, but I told her I havn't done it for 3 months and would never do it again. That night while I was packing a bowl, considering if this was a bad idea, it dawned on me that she would probably do a blood test to test me (She is a mom). Well two days later she comes up and says that on Saturday, I have a blood and urine test.

To most people they would just blow it off, but I am out of high school working full time in order to make money for college because my parents won't pay for that either. I have a full time job repairing GPS units, I work hard, do the work, and am always on time but still she says that if she finds I have been smoking recently she will contact the Boss who is her friend and get me fired which I know is very probable.

Now I was planning to just get my own place if she kicked me out but if she gets my only source of income gone then I am quite fucked because I have worked so many shitty jobs and I finally found a good one to support myself with.

The Blood Test:

1. I read that it is only detectable for 1-5 days. should I be worried about the blood portion of the test or will I be all good?

2. I don't know what the basis of this test is about. If it's for a broader spread of things instead of just drugs, like infections or illnesses, would finding Marijuana in my blood steam become easier or harder to find.

3. How much blood do they take on average? I hate needles.

4. What are some methods to help lessen the chance of detection? Post thread links or advice, either is amazing.

The Urine Test:

1. Ah fuck, 5 days until the test and I smoked last night. I read that the urine test can be done in a week of smoking and still pass if done correctly. I was thinking about the dilution test, but because I'm not sure that this is just for a drug test, that having all these things in my system would look weird on my blood test and make them more suspicious. What do you guys suggest I should do on a test who's basis is probably not just drugs but a whole body physical?

2. Do I even have a chance?

Other Questions:

1. I live in Canada and I was wondering about some legal doctor questions. Because this is through a doctor, and not a drug test company, can I legally keep my results to myself through the doctor-patient thing or does being under 18 make me unable to have that privilege. If you don't know I can always browse some legal sites, but if someone knows it would save me a lot of time.

2. Should I try convincing my mother that weed is fine? She was an orphan who had an abusive childhood and her brother did weed, thus progressing for cocaine and other shit and fucked his and her whole life up. I know she has her basis on why weed is bad, but it's quite biased because she had a brother with low self control so she always assumes that will happen to me.

3. I am moving out in 3-4 months then in 6 months after that I'm going to college far away. Should I just wait it out for these 3-4 months or toke for justice!

Wait it out. Why bring your Mother more misery and worry. You will never convince her that pot is ok, and while you are underage, she will receive any medical results you obtain.

Yeah, i'm 32 and my mom still hates the fact that i smoke pot. i can always stop the conversation by saying "would you perfer i smoke crack instead?" don't tell your mom that, i'm 32 and your 17, big difference. just try to show your mom that your a respectable young man. maybe lying to her wasn't a great idea. if you were honest with her you might not be in this situation right now.

I tried the honesty once when I was 14; basically I stole a pack of gum from my school cafeteria. I didn't think much of it at the time but I felt so guilty afterward and never since stole or done really anything illegal other than some downloading and weed. Well, about 2 months later I told her and she flipped out at me. She phoned the school and had them bring in a local officer to talk to me about the dangers of stealing and how it would ruin my life. Now I told her it was 2 months ago and I understood the consequences and just did it as a spur of the moment thing but she still didn't listen. I was grounded for months and she wouldn't talk to me all during that time. I expected the grounding and understood the punishment but giving me the cold shoulder really hurt me on a emotional level, and ever since then I didn't trust her judgment as a mother, and I know that is a harsh thing to say to any parent but I think she has been so influenced by her rough upbringing and society that I don't trust her choices on my life.
