Hi,
I'm 28 years old and have been a chronic smoker for years. I have in the last 3 months cut back significantly and not smoked. But I did smoke an eight about 3 - 2 weeks ago. I'm 5-10 160 lbs and have a pretty high metabolism. I've been running heavily for the last month. I passed a home test this Thursday night but my urine seemed to be dilluted. Yesterday on Friday I failed to home tests. I plan to run again this morning to burn as much fat as I can. I have read on this forum to stop excercising before you take the test. After this morning should I excercise anymore? once again the test is next Friday. I don't want to freak myself out to much so I plan toi take a home test Tuesday while practicing N2's dillution sticky. I also plan to take a home test Wednesday morning with my first urination. To see if I'm clean by now or not. When I take the test this Friday it will be 20+ days since I've smoked. I know I have to take the test at the hospital for the job I'm trying to get. Are the test more sringent at the hospital. Please help immediately. I'm worried and do not know if there is anything else I should do.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also just to elaborate a little further. I have a very low body fat percentage I'm guessing lower than 5%. Also the exercise I have been doing has been very strenuous, especially the last couple of days. Is there any chance that because I have been exercising so hard lately that the THC metabolites in my urine are higher causing me to fail the 2 test yesterday. Also of note I passed a test yesterday of a different brand test and tested it from the same urine sample that I failed another brand test with.

Come on experts give me your advice - I really need your help.

I also noticed in the first post that I was not totally correct; I have smoked some in the past two months but it has not been every day, maybe 2-4 times a week. But this was significantly less than my smoking habits in the past.

You can test yourself using the first pee of the day if you want to see if you are clean.

You can test yourself while diluting if you want to see if that will work for you

You can read up on substitution and practice if that is what you want to do.

Hospital drug tests are still drug tests. There is no difference. The hospital uses the same laboratories that all the rest of the employers use for drug testing, unless this particular hospital uses instant testing... Then it would be even easier for you to pass.

I appreciate your help. I have six days to the test. When should I stop exercising? I have seen most threads say 2-3 days, but some say 4-5. Will it make much of a difference If I run hard for the rest of the day and tomorrow? A physical is also required so I cannot substitute.

Split the difference and stop about 3-4 days prior. It is all subjective to the particular nuances of YOUR body.

you can substitute if you get a urinator. i just got done with a physical/drug screen. had to strip down to boxers in a gown b4 the urine test so you are right to assume using the gooch method is not a wise one with a physical. the temp would drop too quickly if removed. i put the urinator in my pants after undressing (which by the way held its temp for 2 and a half hours). the trick is getting it past the person who has you empty your pockets etc.

No, I will be nervous already. I really want this job and do not want to risk subbing. I took another home test yesterday. My urine was a little dilluted, it was my third void of the day and I had drank a couple glasses of tea and a glass of water and it came up negative. My test is still 5 days away so I'm feeling more confident. I will take a test Thursday with my first void and I will post the results. Thanks for your help.

Testing positive for marijuana has a lot of different factors. There are more things you can do to help rid the body of thc if being tested regular like eating a high fiber diet, taking a fiber addative such as metamucial( makes the matabolites cling to the fiber and send it out the back door). Taking vitamin b-12 ( no not niacin but b-12) helps add creatine to the body if you must dilute. You have a lot going in your favor at the moment. I used a site called Pass your drug test - guaranteed! they have a live person to speak with and a free consultaion. You might want to give them a call. I used there services and passed with no problem I have to take a test every month for probation.

UPDATE:

I went and took my physical and drug screen today. First off I must say that I am disappointed that I did not use substitution. My physical did not require me to undress and I was in closed bathroom by myself so substitution would have been easy. I followed N2s dilution sticky. I drank 2 quarts of Gatorade took tums and added salt for specific gravity and loaded up the last few days on a Creatine supplement. I also loaded up on B vitamins.

I have a couple questions:

1: My urine was neon yellow; will this add suspicion at the lab?

2: It is being sent to LabCorp. What kind of test will they use? And does anyone know how long it will take to test and know results? I'm in Alabama and the lab address on my paper states North Carolina. Since it is the weekend will it wait until Monday to be tested?

Thanks again I will post my final results when I hear something but hopefully I will not; no news is good news in this situation.

Note: It has been 22-23 days since I smoked last. I tested my first void yesterday and it showed up positive I'm pretty sure. There was a faint line but the test instructions said that a ghost line was not indicative of a negative test and that the line must be pink or red. I believe this was a ghost line. I tested the dilution tips and tested later in the day and came up for sure negative; the line was much darker. So I'm confident the sample will come up negative I'm just worried about it being to diluted.
