Thanks for the knowledge! Using a synthetic one for a test tomorrow, and am "practicing" keeping the temperature constant. Without the use of heater, next to my skin (in crotch) is remaining a nice 96 degrees!

N2, I bought 2 QF's and a #1., I opened a package of my QF and the bottle wasn't full to the top. Is this the right amount ? I have another ?. The guy who sold it to me said it cant be opened until used and it cant be in sunlight . He also warned the QF
cant be heated but once . N2, are the things the guy at the headshop is telling me true? Last question., For a DOT test would you crouch 2 QF's or will one be enough? P.S. thanks for answer my previous questions.

As I proved on my last response to someone's post here, I'm no expert, BUT:

The bottle I got wasn't full to the top either. I used it and it filled to just above the line on the cup. The test I did was only a single specimen, so the woman told me to dump half of it in the toilet anyway.

From what I've read here, Quick Fix can be heated and reheated as many times as you need to get it right.

CF, The dude at the head shop is lame, at best. You are only required to submit 45ml for a DOT test. QF has aprox 60ml in the bottle. Opening the bottle is no problem. If you want to pour the QF into a clean measuring cup to see if it has over 45ml (1.5oz), there is no harm in that. As for sunlight, naturally you do not want to store the QF in direct sunlight, or in an open container, but it you pull it out of you pocket, outside during the daylight, open the bottle and sniff it, no harm done (and it has no oder). As for heating it, the air activated heating pad is a 1 time use. But the QF itself can be heated 17,421 times, but not 1 time over that, LOL! Seriously, the QF can be heated as often as you like. The only restriction to heating it is if you microwave it, NEVER heat it so long that it begins to boil. At boiling temp, the creatinine in it will start to break down. Oh yea, those air activated heating pads are sold as hand/foot warmers and in drugstores as heat patches for muscle pain relief, but be careful with them. It is easy to overheat the sample to the 110-120 range and that's not a good temp to submit a sample at. It's also why I always just rely on body heat.

PS, as far as filling the collection cup to were the collector wants, forget it. As Curious said in his post, he filled it to the line, only to watch half of it being poured back into the toilet. What a collector wants and what a lab requires are usually way apart.

Like everyone else I have a pre-employment screen that I must pass. I am a chronic user, so I have decided to use the substitution method. I have the sample and a nifty little kit with a bag to put in my bra and a little tube to run down to my crotch. It seems fairly simple, but I am not sure I could pull it off if watched. My test is at quest and the paper calls it 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS. I would love to know if this is definitely just a simple UA or if anything else could be involved. Also, there is a box for the collector to check if it was observed. Does this mean it will be observed for sure? Is it possible to substitute like this when observed? Do any females have tips on what to where to make this simpler? (ie. Is skirt easier than pants?)
I have to take the test on Monday, so I think it is a little late for dilution. I am 42 and have smoked since I was about 15. In the last few years daily and sometimes more than once per day.
I would appreciate any advice or even comforting words!
