I have a pre-employment screen tomorrow. I have been studying these threads for about six weeks though, because I knew during the interview process I would have to take a test. I could have quit, but I am not changing my lifestyle just beacuse the company I want to work for drug tests. Secondly I don't want to risk it with dilution and have a chance of failing. Lastly, I just want to flat out beat the system.

I have my sample from ureasample.com (their transport system really does suck don't bother) and I am pretty confident. I have taken tests in the past when I was younger (I was suspended during H.S. the day before X-Mas break because of a positive test) and I know what to expect. I have never subbed before, so I have been praticing with the temperature, as that seems to be the key. I am surprised by how warm your body will actually keep the sample. I thought for sure I was going to need a heat pad, but after some practice I found that if I heat it to 105-110 and crotch it, it will stay above 90 for at least a good hour. The only thing I have noticed is that when you transfer the sample from your bottle to the test cup, you lose alot of heat. I guess that is just a fact of physics that can't be avoided, considering that my sample bottle is warm and toasty and their sample cup is room temperature at best.

I'll update my story tommorrow with my experience and any tips.

I want to thank everyone for posting, especially N2, and tell my story so people can learn from it. I had a pre-employment test that I had to take this week, so I waited until Friday. I ordered a sample from ureasample.com and it arrived in one day on Thursday. I had been practicing with water to get the right temperature, and that really helped a lot. I came home from work at Noon on friday, and got my sample in the bottle. I used a 4oz. bottle with a squirt top because I wanted to make sure I had enough sample, and so I could try to squirt it if observed (i tried this in practice). I got the sample in the 32oz. insulated mug I bought. I got the hottest tapwater and microwaved that for a minute. My digital thermometer only went up to 110 and the water was above that, so I think it was about 115-120. I poured the water in the mug and dropped in my 40z. sample bottle.

I was debating on using hand warmers after I crotched it, but my practicing made me think I didn't need to. Just to be safe I taped one activated handwarmer to the outside crotch of my boxer briefs, and then put another pair over that. I even wore a shirt a tie to ease suspicions, and told the nurse that I was straight from the interview.
When I got to the test site, I checked the sample temp with my digi and it was actually over 110. So I cooled in down with the AC to 107 and crotched it. It was actually pretty easy to control, especially with snug boxer briefs. I filled out the paper work and they made a copy of my Drivers License. I sat down to wait, and luckily I only had to wait about 10 minutes. A seperate nurse (who was a real *****) called me and we walked back to the bathroom. I emptied my pockets and she gave me the cup after drawing a line on it, which was really close to the bottom. I went into the bathroom, and she closed the door, and I reached over and locked it. I immediately got the sample out and poured most of it, about 3oz. into the cup. I put the bottle back in my crotch. It was well over the line. The temp strip they were using had 6 circles from 90-100 at 2 degree increments. The sample was a perfect 98 on the strip. I went to take a piss, and I realized I really didn't have to go. THis worried me a little since the sample was already in the cup and I wanted to make some noise in the toilet. Somehow I made myself go with a little pause in the middle for authenticity. In honor of Abbie Hoffman I left a little on the toilet seat.

She had me fill out another sheet, sealed the sample, glanced at the temp strip (I am sure anything above 90 would have been fine with her) and placed the sample in a plastic bag. I was shaking as I filled out the paperwork, but I left there with a huge smile on my face.

I did it. It was easier than I thought it would be, and you can do it to! I higly recommend subbing along the posted guidelines. Don't let those bladder cops push you around!

so if i use the substitution method...

i have the test monday.. does the pee get old?.. should i get the pee from some1 on sunday night or on monday?

You may use a friends urine or you can use a product called Quick Fix 4.0 which you should be able to get at a toke shop (High Times, etc.). I have read quite a few good results with that product. If you choose a friend make sure you know for sure that they are clean. Make sure you really practice so you can get it right.

ive got a test next weekend to follow up the one i failed yesterday in which i used the dilution method... im not sure what went wrong but i imagine that substitution is safer... i have to take an "at home test" so i was wondering if i could just pour hot water into the sub to bring it to the suggested temp... no 1 will know if i do this i just want to know if it will work?? if not should i try the "crotch warming" method??

I see your parents did test you! You should just stop until they stop testing or when you turn 51 years of age.

i would like some REAL help on substitution not just some guy telling me to quit smoking... im not down for that which is why i am here at this forum... just like every one else... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to post my experience with Number 1.

I had an upcoming pre-employment urine screen so I bought a detox drink and a few tests to do a dry run. I hadn't smoked in a week and the guys at the newer head shop assured me, "I shouldn't have a problem." Yeah right. No way was I going to be able to pass. Failed all three tests at different intervals of when the drink was to be effective.

I found N2's wonderful post on substition and called the old school head shop in town and they had the Number 1 substition kit and swore by it. Besides the other testimonials peppered throughout the internet, these forums, and this thread put my nerves to rest. The test was pretty much a non-event - I had worn the belt into work, as I knew that i wanted to schedule the test 1st thing to get it over with - so by lunchtime it was perfect body temperature. I was the only female there and luckily I was called up within 5-10 minutes. The sample cup had a temperature strip on it so I was able to see that it was in the correct temperature range immediately (but there is also a temperature strip on the bladder itself so if necessary you can reassure yourself that it's kosher [ha - kosher synthetic urine]). Total time in the bathroom - under 2ish minutes.

Update: As of Friday - I haven't heard a word. The HR department said that they would call me if they needed anything else - no word or mention of the urine screen or anything hinky.

My advice - why make yourself all nervous and anxious about wondering whether a drink or detox program will work. Paranoia sucks. Substition is the way to go for a hassle and worry free test.

If you want a no-brainer - use the kit, or try (AND PRACTICE) any of the other methods mentioned in this thread!

Wow this is awesome! I finally found a forum with help on urine tests.

I just applied for a job at Time Warner Cable and I have interview this Friday. I know for sure I will be sent to take a drug test. I've had friends that have passed using synthetic urine but I was a bit nervous about it. After reading all of the posts in this thread my confidence level is up 100%
I've been smoking bud now for over 15 years and theres no way in hell i'm going to pass and dilution sounds a bit risky and a pain in the ass to drink all those fluids and take all those pills. I'm definitely not going cold turkey, I did that once before and it really sucked.

I hate the fact that companies hold you're economic status hostage if you smoke bud. I can see if you get high on the job and act a fool but most of us do it recreational. I for one only smoke at night and mostly on weekends.

Well anyways i will be getting back to you with drug test results after I take it. I'm going to be substituting with QF
