To answer your question, no, they do not test for female urine. Since they don't test for female urine, there is nothing in the urine to indicate that the donor is currently menstrating. (If you are worried, get several samples during another time of the month and freeze it). As long as it is the right color and temp and the collector doesn't see you substitute or see any materials used for substitution (including the straight pin), the sample should be sent in to the lab.

At the lab, they test for a 5 drug panel (DOT), specific gravity, Ph level and creatinine level.

They do NOT do:
Pregnancy tests
Gender tests
Prescription Medication testing
Alcohol
Age of the specimen
anything else I have seen posted in this forum.

If they detected blood in the urine, the MRO might advise you to see your physician. They don't test for blood, but like you said, the color needs to be right.

I went and got travelsize bottles for shampoo etc. Empty ones, the kind you use to fill w. your own shampoo etc. You should get those, or use a condom to carry the urin.

You may even freeze it in icecube forms. I did that for my tests. That way I can take out a couple of ice cubes every time i have to do a test. I keep them for 3-4 weeks

Freeze it in ice cube bags and it should be ok.

I was able to find an online company with a lower cost than spectrum (19.95 per sample) that had no problem shipping to my state - which is one of the "banned" states. PM me if you live in one of these archaic states and want to get quickfix.

Had to do a pre-employment drug screen today,used Qucikfix 4.0.
The paperwork says 6633n SAP 10-50 GC/MS and a box marked SPLIT is checked off.Can someone decode 6633n SAP 10-50 GC/MS and tell me what the SPLIT means.
Hopefully the QF did the trick,temp was fine. Thanks for any input.

6633n = the specific code for that employer (or Third Party Administrator)

SAP = Substance Abuse panel

10 = Tested for ten different substances

50 = Initial screening cutoff level for THC

GC/MS = Gas Chromatograph / Mass Spectrometer. It will be subject to this machine if it screens positive for any one of the 10 substances tested for above.

Split means they sent two separate vials of the same void (urine specimen). One (the "A", or "Primary") will be tested. The other ("B" or "Secondary") will be put in cold storage. If you test positive and the MRO (Doctor who reviews the laboratory results) cannot find a legal reason (Like prescription or over-the-counter meds), you will then have the option to have the split ("B" or "Secondary") vial sent to a second laboratory where it is subjected to the GC/MS for the exact substance it tested positive at the first lab. (If you request this, you may be responsible to pay for it, depending on the employer policy).
