Thanks for the advice lew. Makes me feel a little better, but I'm still nervous. I thought of another question if any body has any experience. I'm having a pre-employment drug test for a temp job, so the staffing agency will actually be my employer. I had my interview for the job Thursday afternoon. I found out late Thursday that I was offered the job. I had applied for another position and was waiting to hear back if I got a second interview. I found out Friday that I didn't get the second interview, and told my contact at the staffing agency I would take the temp position. She said, "Great. blah blah. They would like you to start 9/2. Between now and then we need to run your background check and get you drug tested. The next step will be to have you come in a fill out some paper work for the company (where I'll physically be working, not the temp agency - I did that at my initial appointment). Then we'll also give you instructions and directions to the drug test facility." Do you think I'll actually be tested at the staffing agency, or will they really send me to the drug test facility? Do any staffing agencies do their own testing? Would she lie to prevent employees from preparing? Forgive my stupidity, I'm just thinking of the possibilities. Any thoughts or temp agency testing experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I did just fill it with a 60mL measuring cup, and it wasn't quite big enough, only about 1.5oz. But I think I'll be good with the condom filled, inside the sock around my thigh.

I had been working for a staffing/temp agency for a few years and they always sent me to a clinic/facility for testing. Hell, I even failed the first time, bluffed it off as "contact high" from being around my roommates, so they let me start work..and didn't get back to testing me for 5 weeks!

Well it's all over and done with, and should be successful!

There was a small hitch at the beginning. I had to walk about a mile uphill to get to the bus station, during which time the sock I had my filled condom in came undone and slipped down the back of my jeans. Luckily I had tied the sock itself so the rubber wouldn't come out. Once on the bus I managed to covertly wrap the sock around my ankle and tuck it into my worn sock, all of which was hidden by my jeans cuff.

At the Quest Lab, they didn't even make me empty my pockets which I found odd. But the procedure itself went off without a hitch. I first voided into the cup and swished it around till i saw the 94 and 96 degree markings change color, then emptied it out. I pulled my gear out of my pantleg and poured in my girlfriend's donation, then stuffed the empty condom back in the sock and into my pocket. The ladies there took it with no problems, had me fill out the c.o.c. form and sent me on my merry way!

Incidentally, I've had the song "Substitute" stuck in my head all day, too. Thanks everyone for all the tips, tricks and discussion!

Here's my story.

I found out that i would have to take a durg urinalysis for pre-employment. I've just started smoking six months ago and i guess one could consider it light smoking. I would smoke maybe a coulple bowls for a 2-3 days and then stop for another 2 or 3 days. Also within the six months i've also lost about 30 some pounds. The company that i have to test for is an internationally known health clinic and they do the testing directly in their own lab. Its quite intimidating but nonetheless (after tons of research) i decided to try N2's dilution method. I did a test run 3 days before the test (also 5 days clean) and purchased a home testing kit by First Check. The Negative line showed up immediately. Could this be faulty? But then again I don't smoke all the time and it doesn't take much for me to reap the benefits. Anyways I went in for my test and it turned out that i could have easily subsituted but prior to that i was told that i would also have a physical evaluation(which there wasn't one). I was 8 days clean when i took the test so i hope *cross my fingers* that i passed and not get a negative dilute result. I am leaving for vacation tonight and despite not knowing if i have to retest I am going to enjoy the outdoors with Mary Jane. Thank You everyone for all the advice, it was very helpful! I will post my results as soon as i find out.

Have read the sticky's for substitution using someone else's urine. I have been looking for a job for months, have not been able to get in my field. So I'm like fuck it, I'll go back to food service. I hated working in an office anyway. So I go for an application and end up getting interviewed right then and there. And they do UA's. So hubby picks me up and I'm like give me some of your urine. We rush home ( I only had an hour to complete test) he pees, we test his urine (clean of course for THC, but I'm paranoid) and I put it in a clean jet clean (the stuff for dishwashers) bottle, and put it under my 40DD boobs. I am so nervous and sweating. I go to the usual place for UA's in town and oops, I'm at the wrong place. I have 15 minutes to get there, I get there with about 10 minutes to spare. I go in, empty pockets, wash hands, and carefully pour into cup. It was 96 , I got me some hot boobs, I guess. The tester does a 5 screen dipstick test. I ask for results and she's all you passed honey, I wish everyone I tested was as nice as you! So THANK YOU MJ.Com for all the tips. I go in this afternoon for my uniform. I'm bartending again!! I love being a bartender but haven't done it for 10 years but they are giving me a chance to restart my career!!! Tips, can't wait. Thanks again!!! and substitution can be done!!!

I have a willing, undoubtedly clean donor for a substitution but I have to take test Monday morning and she can only give sample late Sunday afternoon.

Question:

1. Will the sample still be good the next day? Approximately18 hours later?
2. If so, do I have to keep it 94 - 99 degrees the whole time, or can it cool and them be reheated the next morning?
3. If I can rewarm it , I realize I have to warm it before filling the collecor's tube and I've read all about temps - I think I can handle it. And, I will practice with water.

64,000 Questions are still 1) will the sample be good if I collect it late Sunday afternoon, let it cool (not cold, but not keeping continually 94 - 98) and the re-warm it Monday morning? and 2) Or do I have to keep it 94 - 99 the whole time after I collect from donor and the time I give to collector?

18 hours at room temperature is pushing it. It should be refrigerated and then reheated by a water bath to 100 and then secured. After 8 hours it begans to decompose and should either be frozen for a year or refrigerated for up to two weeks. Reheated and cooling will not affect it.

Well, then. All those specimens that I collect on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, sit around all weekend, until Monday late afternoon when the courier picks it up, takes it to the airport, where it flies overnight (unrefrigerated) to a laboratory, then sits in receiving for a couple hours more until it is tested are no good then?

If you are keeping a specimen more than a few hours, it probably is best to refrigerate, at least keep it in an airtight container. Just because it sits around for a couple of days, doesn't make the specimen unusable.
