Usually if a specimen is not 90 deg., we give you a choice, either take a fail or give another specimen while being observed. You are not allowed to leave the test site and come back another day. You must give your specimen right away. You have 3 hours and up to 40 ounces of water given at 8 ounces per 1/2 hour.

The place where you tested did your employer a disservice by not advising them of the proper protocol regarding low temperature specimens. If your test is for probation, you are very lucky indeed.

Here is my substitution advice/story with synth urine:

Note: This is my first time subbing.

I had a test and had 24 hours notice. I had no car until about 45 minutes before the test. I bought Magnum synthetic urine, and couldn't find a microwave at any of the local gas stations. I bought a cup of coffee and let it sit in there for a little while. It seemed still too cool but still the temperature strip was not accurate because the coffee was surrounding it.

I put that sucker to the side of my balls and thigh for about twenty minutes. I went in and subbed. The temp strip read 90 on the lab cup so I started blowing on the strip until it hit 94. Gave it to her, it got sent directly to the lab and found out I passed the next day and got the job. None of this was with any practice whatsoever.

If you have plenty of time and keep that sucker near your balls for about an hour you can probably just go in and sub and the temp will be fine. If it's a bit low than just blow on it.

Synthetic urine is a bit easier to deal with than real urine, and 100% drug-free. Since I passed this test I am confident with any more tests unless a new system is developed to weed out synthetic urine.

Dilution sounds good, but you can still fail or get a diluted and denied a second chance. It's also a hell of a lot more worry than substitution. Once you get that sub in than you have no worries, since you already will know the temperature is appropriate, and the piss is clean and not diluted. I used cheap 29.95 synth urine Magnum and recommend it. Was bought at a head shop so I expect that's full retail price.

Practice is not necessary. Just give it an hour next to your nuts, go in the testing facility and don't act scared shitless or give them a reason to be suspicious, and pour it into the cup. Pee whatever you can into the toilet. If there's a squirt thing on the bottle I'd suggest just removing the entire top so it can be poured. I'd be worried about them hearing a strange sucking in or out noise from the nozzle thing.

Oh yes another suggestion when subbing. The synthetic urine is yellowish clearish but definitely yellow. Drink about 2 bottles of water and take 2 multivitamins and some other random vitamins laying around your medicine cabinet. The water is to ensure you will be able to pee, and the vitamins will color it yellow just like your subbed sample will be. That too will alleviate suspicion.

Just my 2 cents, I've only done it once and without practice and it was gravy.

Today was my first time pulling a substitution. I could not ask for it to go better. Last night I washed three condoms out every half hour of so...till they were completely clean. I then dried them over night. Practiced twice inserting the condom filled with water, walked around, did dishes, played on the computer and then emptied it in a practice cup. This morning I had my husband piss in a measuring cup. I filled one condom with a little over 2 oz of urine. I tied it shut, used the bread tie as suggested in this forum (thank you) and then stuck it in that special warm place we ladies have. I then heated a wash cloth in the micro wave till it was steaming hot, put on two of my husbands underwear. Wore a thick maxi pad and placed the hot washcloth on tope of it. I then put on a pair of pantyhose on over my two pairs of underwear. To kill time I played a computer game to and let the condom adjust to the shape of my body (like 30 minutes). Next I drove to the center (which is 8 minutes away). I filled out the paper work, only a little nervous. Read a book in the waiting room (10 minutes). When they called my name I left my bag and what not with the receptionist and then went into the bathroom to do my business. I had a paperclip stored in my bra. The condom was supper warm. I popped it at the top where the knot was and tore it open a bit. Dumped it in the cup, spilled a tiny bit on my leg (oh well)... Then I put a droplet of piss on the seat and put some toilet paper in the toilet. Folded my leftover garbage in my washcloth, pulled up my pants and handed it in. It was a perfect warm temperature. I am super happy this is over. I am thinking things should be just fine with the pee as long as they don't test for sex of donor. Can't wait to get the results back... If I fail for what ever reason (residue in pee from condom or sex identification) my backup plan is a different interview I scheduled for a different job on Wednesday.

Many thanks to those posting before me. I've been studying for an upcoming test and the info here is much appreciated. I'll direct my question to Sec3 since I gather this is your field. I was looking at the Craig Medical site for validation test strips and saw 2 kinds. One tests fo ph, creatine, and specific gravity. The second one claims to test for the lgG protein as a way of detecting a sub.

I have a test with Quest coming up in a week or so and I plan on subbing. I looked at the Quest site and their description of validity testing sounds like the first type of validiton testing rather than the second method. Do you know anything about this lgG protein testing?

Also, if anyone has tested w/ Quest in the Orlando area, I'd love some info. There are several test locations and I'd like to make sure I pick a site that does not observe.

Don't mind the play on words. Thanks for the info Lew. I mst have missed or overlooked that info when I originally read this thread. When I was shopping for the test strips it stood out and I freaked.

are there any urine substitutes that i can keep on me for longer than 8 hours? if i get tested it will random and i will not have time to get 'fresh' urine.

You were recommended QF in another thread or post. It can be kept for 18 months and be heated and cooled several times if not an unlimited amount of times. There is a dehydrated urine from Puck technologies. I am almost certain there are other companies that make synthetic urine too.

i just got offered a job for an airline company. i have to take 13 tests total (blood, urine, phisical, etc). i`m a pretty heavy user (last time i smoked was 10 days ago for ~4 days, 3-4 joints a day) and i have to take the medical tests in the next 2 weeks.
first of all, i`m not sure that they will even test me for drugs (I live in Romania) and my main conceirn is that they will discover that i subbed if they test that urine for other stuff and doesn`t match with my blood test.
also, another problem is that if i pass the medical and get the job, from what i know, all airlines do random tests and i can`t find any quickfixx around here or anything like that so i will have to use real urine from a clean friend so my question is : how can i store it / carry it with me and for how long can i do that before i need another sample ?

p.s. sorry for any spelling mistakes.

Drug test check just for drugs. Try to find QF online.
