Much <3 to these forums and N2 for making this thread. I just got back from my drug test using substitution. I haven't gotten the results back, but I have no worries. =D Anyways, here's my story...

Bought a 3oz empty travel size bottle from Target, headed over to Petsmart and purchased a Coralife digital aquarium thermometer(dead silent). I wanted to be extra safe, the $9.99 was totally worth it. After searching a few stores, I ended up at Walgreens where I found Cura-Heat heatpacks. They fit snug around the bottle and last up to 12 hours.

After doing some testing, I found with the heatpacks I could easily keep my sample's temp at about 105. I used two pairs of tightie whities and placed the bottle directly behind my sack. I stuffed the thermometer down there as well, although at Quest Labs, I could've easily kept it in my pocket.

After about a 30 minute wait, I was escorted to the back where I picked out my own sample cup. I was instructed that my sample would only be accepted if the temp strip was green, meaning between 90-100. I was given 4 minutes to do my thing. Moving as quickly as I could, I measured the temp of my sample in the bottle at about 105. I poured it in collection cup and the strip was blue. At this point I really started to freak, I thought maybe it would stay blue and only read the initial temp. After swirling it around for 10-20 sec, it slowly faded to a faint green. Then, time was up! That 4 min goes by FAST, so you really need to move quickly. I was still freaking about the color, the temp must've been very high 90's, if not 100, right on. She glanced at the strip, poured it in the tube, and a few signatures later I was outta there!

To anyone skeptical(used to be me), DON'T WORRY! If your smart, move quickly and can read a thermometer, YOU'LL BE FINE!

Thanks again to these forums and everyone who's shared their experience. I hope mine will give confidence to all future readers here. =D By the way, this job gives FULL health and dental. I couldn't be happier.

i took my choicepoint/labcorp test yesterday. with much practice i was able to insert a liquid-filled condom into my vagina. i felt safest with this, because in the past i have only done quest tests, and i wasn't sure how observed i would be. thankfully, i was able to close and lock the door. it was hot as balls, so the sample (my roommate's), after sitting in my insides for about 20 mins was 94-96 degrees, and the lady took it with no questions/problems.

here's the only thing that worries me: i was spotting that day, meaning i was having light menstrual bleeding. when i took the condom out, obviously it was wet with a) the lube i'd used to insert it b) vaginal secretions and c) blood. i dried it off with toilet paper before i opened it to pour into the cup, but i am still kind of worried that a little bit of my blood might have made it into the test cup... this would be a problem... right? can a urine test detect the compounds/concentrations present in blood?

No. The presence of blood in the specimen poses no problem. I have had ladies (I'm being generous calling them "Ladies"), hand me a specimen cup just dripping with blood, both inside and out. It is like they scraped their crotch with the cup and dipped the tampon in the urine. This is unnecessary IMO. It is very possible to pee without removing a tampon or dripping heavily into the cup (just wipe the blood away prior to peeing and hold the cup a couple inches below the crotch )

Any way, I got off the subject a bit, You should not worry one bit. It will be fine.

thanks for the reply (however gross!)! i was more concerned that the test would detect thc that made its way into the cup through my blood, rather than the substituted urine, which was clean. i had smoked, at most, 8 hours prior to the test.

I don't think a couple drops of THC laden blood in a cupful of urine would contain enough to show as positive.

Is there anyone on here who gets randoms and has QF on their person all workday? The field of work I'm going into most likely has randoms so I figure I'll have to keep some in my bra and/or underwear at all times..

i have been reading forums for over a week now. thank the universe for this site. i knew i would have to have a preemployment ua at some point so i quit smoking about 15 days ago.
i thought to do the dilution method because i didnt think i could sub, but then i was worried that it wouldnt work and i wouldnt get this 'okay' job i had been offered, so thank goodness my 70y/o mom loves me and pee'd in a container for me. she feels cool to be an outlaw btw! lol!
and i love having a vagina! perfect temp!
now hopefully everything is fine, cause im staring at some nice green, but im almost afraid to smoke in case something happens to my test and they call me back in. paranoia??

Ahhh.
Been a while since I been on the fourms.
Hoped I'd never have to come back, but you know how that goes

In about an hour I'll be SUBing for a test. Using "Yellow River" by puck technologies. First time I've ever used the powdered stuff, usually I dillute or use a No.1, but my friend had this stuff and just gave it to me so I figure I might as well save myself the money of buying a No.1.
Got the piss mixed, in a 2 oz shampoo bottle with some handwarmers taped to it.

So far I'm UNDEFEATED in my drug testing history, SUBing at least 5 times, dilluting at least 12.

Do you think any remanents of shampoo in the bottle would screw the test up? I washed that sucker out good but it still has a faint smell of shampoo, makes me semi-nervous.
