Hi People!

I finally landed a job after being unemployed for a couple months in a new part of the country (just graduated and moved accross country), but the oppurtunity is contingent upon passing a urine test. I was an avid smoker for 3 years (practically everyday) but stopped 3 weeks ago. I'm 5'0 95lbs with an insane metabolism but I don't really workout at all. I think there is an okay chance of me passing a pee test, but I am definitely going to buy some at the store first and make sure they all come back pot-free before going to take the test. My question is, how accurate are they compared to clinic tests? Could I potentially pee clean on a home test but then fail a clinic test? Are the clinic tests harder to pass (i.e. do they test at lower levels?) I want to be 100% I can pass with my own pee, otherwise I will go the synthetic route. It would suck to pass an "easy-passable" home test only to fail a more stringent clinic test, if thats the case. Anyone who might might know the answer to this- your response is MUCH appreciated!!!

From what I understand, the home tests are just as accurate as the intial screening that will be conducted by the lab. This is known as the immunoassay test. The cut off for your pre-employment test will most likely be 50ng/ml which is the same as the at home tests.

I have the test data for the particular brand of tests which I purchased, "Screeners, Single Dip Drug Test" made by Drug Detection Devices LTD. It claims a 97% agreement rate on positive result tests as compared to GC/MS (the gold standard) and a 88% agreement on negative result tests when compared to GC/MS.
