Hi I'm 53 yrs old, a heavy smoker for the last 3-4 years almost every day (once at night), 6'3" and close 195-200 lbs. I believe that I have a good metabolism (my wife says so!). I stopped smoking on Sunday night and plan to not start up until I get a job ... no matter how long it takes!

I am in the software development field and looking for a job. I was at my last job for 8 1/2 years. I've never had to take a drug test. I have an 1st interview on Tuesday for a company to be a 6 month contract worker, through Judge Inc. (a technical recruiting company), for a company in PA.

At this time, there is no indication of any kind of test. I would like to prepare my body. I'm basically a vegetarian that eats some fish.

What can I do to prepare myself if they or anyone else decides to test me. I'm too paranoid to take urine with me.

What is the best thing besides lots of exercise and eating good and drinking lots of water (I always drink lots)? Should I give up drinking beer? What vitamins or cleansing drink can I use to prepare?

I read a lot of threads here and I'm confused. I would like to purchase something to help me out.

im not an expert but your best bet is to drink tons of water and work out. if you go to a vitamin store like GNC you'll find lots of system clearing pills, but beware some of those only mask the thc which drug testing companies raise their eyebrows at. working out and drinking copious amounts of water (cranberry juice and power/gatorade) worked for me.

GNC sells nothing that has a masking agent. They sell coolade and overpriced vitamin pills. You have two options. Substitution or dilution...both of which have stickies. Read them. Purchase a few home test kits and try dilution. You can get them at the pharmy bin. If it's an unmonitored DT then you can sub. It's up to you. If you use some one elses pee, testing it with a home test to make sure it passes good luck.

Your best and sure fire way to pass a drug test is to buy Quick Fix 4.2 and use it for a substitute. Your test will not be observed for a job. Get a 2oz travel size bottle filled with water to practice maintaining temps. When you are directed into a bathroom for a sample, just go and pour your warm sample (QF) into their cup. PRESTO!!! They get their clean sample to test and you continue to relax with smoke and a new job.

#1 Keep on stopping smoking if that is what YOU want. Don't stop smoking just to pass a drug test. I never will again.
#2 Dilute following the instructions -or-
#3 Sub with clean or synthetic urine. It is very easy.

If you want to stop smoking because you feel it is a problem for you, then by all means quit. Only you know that.
