Will I Be Observed During Test

Hi All,
Have a pre-employment drug screen coming up and I think that substitution is my only option. I have subbed before with success but this time I was thrown a curve by the employer. Instead of sending me to a collection center like Concentra or Quest I have to actually go to a hospital to take the test. Here are the guidelines issued by the hospital in regards to their protocol:

It is necessary to collect a "clean-catch" (midstream) urine sample. To obtain a clean-catch sample, men or boys should wipe clean the head of the penis with a moist cloth or alcohol square. Women or girls need to wash the area between the lips of the vagina with soapy water and rinse well.
As you start to urinate, allow a small amount to fall into the toilet bowl (this clears the urethra of contaminants). Then, in a clean container, catch about 1 - 2 ounces of urine and remove the container from the urine stream. Give the container to the health care provider or assistant.
You may be asked to remove all your personal belongings and wear a hospital gown. You will then be placed in a room where you have no access to your personal items or water. In this environment, you cannot dilute the sample, nor can you use someone else's urine for the test.
The sample is then taken to the laboratory for evaluation.

I'm concerned about this whole gown thing. Does that mean that I will have to be completely naked underneath? Is it legal to be watched during a pre-employment screen. I have no problem subbing just scared to death that I will have to be naked and that I will be watched. Will someone be in the room with me. Has anyone taken a test at a hospital? If someone has been through this could they please let me know what I can expect.

It is against regulation for (a DOT regulated test, anyway), for the collection site, whether it be a hospital or not, to make you disrobe and put on a hospital gown just to take a urine test for employment. If you are also getting a physical, you can be made to put on a gown, but not just for the urine test.

You will not be allowed to wash your penis or vagina with alcohol or soap. There is no need for a "clean catch" for a drug test specimen, only for medical testing.
