| I took a first check home test about 53 hours after I had smoked for the first time in over a year and have only have smoked 4 times in my life. It was only about 4, maybe 5 hits total, and only 2 hits could be considered "good" hits, the others were weak. I took this first test near midnight, so it was not my first pee of the day. I did not drink excessively, but I did drink a couple of small bottles of gatorade and water throughout the day. The pee was very yellow. The result came out negative. I am 5'7, 135lbs, skinny, though I am developing a bit of a pot belly. As far as I know my metabolism is very high/high. Then I took a pre-employment test at a lab the next day just before 4pm, approximately 70 hours after I had initially smoked and 16 hours since passing my first home test. I felt confident enough to take the lab test since I had passed my first test. But on the way home I started to worry and questioned whether I would actually pass or not, so when i got home, I took a second home test using my very next pee around 5pm, almost exactly an hour after I gave my lab pee, and this second test also turned out negative. So it has been a couple of days and still have not heard anything yet and I am going crazy, as you can imagine. What i want to know is, is there any chance that I could have passed my first home test, then the next day 16 hours later somehow my THC metabolite levels increased enough to fail my lab test, but then only an hour after that pass another home test? I've read on this forum that if you pass a home test then you should be good on a lab test. I also read a couple reports on Erowid that occasional users test positive for about 24 hours after smoking, but after 48 hours should start to test clean, which I did at 53 hours. I can't even label myself as an occasional, but rather a virtual first timer. So once I start to test clean, I should stay clean, as the hours go by, correct? The difference between 53 hours after smoking and 70 hours after should be a significant amount of time passed, enough for my thc metabolite levels to drop even further, correct? So to be clear, since I passed my second home test right about an hour after giving my lab test, then my lab test should also pass, since the pee samples given are so close together, right? I have scoured the internet the last few days and have not been able to find enough answers to ease my mind. I hope any information anyone can post in this thread will be able to help others in similar situations as mine in the future. Needless to say I will never, ever smoke again. Thanks for reading. |
