Do employers over-hype tests?

So I am going to dive right in and ask.

Do you think employers over-hype the drug testing?

I have to take one for a place I am pretty much obligated by my parents to work at. On the front of their application they have a whole page warning about illicit drug use (its a retirement home)

They advise anyone who has even been near a significant amount of second hand smoke to consider withdrawal from the application, as "we are told the test is super-sensitive, and even being exposed to second hand smoke will possibly result in a failed test"

Do you think this is over-hype? It will be hard to explain to my parents why I got called in for an interview but didn't get the job, especially when they need a lot of 18+ (Im 18) people to serve wine to the residents.

Also, I read some of the guides about taking vitamin B to turn your urine yellow after diluting it, but I also heard its good for general detoxing, is this true?

It is virtually impossible to get a positive result on a THC test solely due to second-hand smoke. People have tried by sitting in cars and closets with the doors and windows closed while other people smoke. None of them have gotten a positive. If you're not a pot smoker and you don't go out of your way to try and get a positive result by "hot-boxing" with pot smokers, you have nothing to worry about.

95% of the THC in marijuana smoke is absorbed within the first five seconds after a person inhales it. Exhaled smoke is not very potent. Mixed with room air, it's less potent still.

Oh no, I've been a daily smoker for half a year, but I mentioned the second-hand smoke part because it seemed like they are hyping it up.

they hype that up so those in doubt about passing wont even apply, out of fear of failing the test.

Question:

What is the difference between a $15 same-day detox kit and a $99 one? I am going to buy a $15 I think. Is this a bad idea? Will it dilute my piss/fail me because of that?

hehe. Very nice sec. You can do the same thing as the detox will (if not more effective) by just diluting yourself. There are good stickies on it.

I have known people to pass with those drinks but i'm sure they are not necessary. Not a miracle fix.
