adulteration testing for lew

My question is this: At Quest Diagnostics, do they use GC/MS to test for specific gravity, creatineine, etc.? Or do they simply use the strips you can buy on the internet? Also, how much water would it take to make a urine sample dilute? I drank about 16 oz. of water, peed, then drank another 16 oz. and a cup of coffee then went to the test. My sample was pretty clear. The test was on Friday and it is now Tuesday, no word yet so I think I'm good but all this waiting has turned me in to another freaker! Thanks for the help!

Nope. The GC/MS is only used to confirm any drug positives that occurred on the initial screen.

These days, the validity test strips are being used less frequently as more labs are switching to the assay kits with integrated validity test panels (in either card or EZcup form). These can also be found online.
