In Feb 2009, I froze clean urine which I produced myself by staying clean while trying to find a job. To produce some of the urine, I drank more water than I normally would and took a multi vitamin.

Some of the urine produced was just what would come naturally in a day and some was what was forced by the consumption of more water. I probably spent about three hours total collecting it, some was clear and some was much more yellow, today I mixed them because the clear stuff scares me a bit and now everything satisfys me with the correct color.

My question is, would the fact that over the course of an hour and a half drinking more water than normal, could this have affected the specific gravity or creatine levels?

I would hate to think that I have this urine that is clean (6 3oz bottles) and I plan to rely on but that it would come up diluted in a test.

The only way to know for sure is to grab some validity test strips and run a test on the sample . These test strips can be found online by doing a search for drug adulteration test kits on google.com.

Validity strip finally arrived, SG is just in between the lowest normal and low ( I can't read the numbers on the chart, too small of print, need to find a magnifying glass all else is good, seems that I had better not chance this and should stick to abstinence, not good since I was tokin for a whole month again and if I recall correctly, the last day was 5 days ago, 2nd interview is in 1 more week and then I could likely delay a test for a couple additional days with a dilution backup by N2's thorough method, the time frame may work out so that abstinence will allow me to be clean again for a test if I get selected for the position.

So a couple of questions come to mind.

1-Suppose it was a really hot day and a person would normally drink a lot of water on such a day, if I was totally clean and not using frozen urine, wouldn't this also show up as a low specific gravity and therefore show up as diluted?

2- Anyone know if Kaiser ever uses hair tests for drug screen, did not see one on the internet but things change?

3-Anyone think that I could get away with using this urine, seems like such a waste to get rid of it?

4-I notice that there was some leakage from the small bottles into the bigger ,not air tight container, that I stored them in, it is still frozen but leads me to believe that the bottles are not airtight either, there was no abnormal odor, any comments on this is also helpful.

Question 1 is what I am most curious about. So SEC, if you have any input on this, it is helpful.

only problem with this is that they usually do the test on site but u can buy products to conceal the urine in a pouch that u can hide in ur pants

The specific gravity can be a bit low, as long as the creatinine remains above a specific level. If, on your validity strips, the creatinine was within normal range, your saved urine will be fine.

The validity strips are a color chart and aren't exact. If you have a scanner, scan it into your computer and enlarge it to try to read the numbers. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that since you combined all the urine together, that if any of it was a bit over diluted, you corrected that with the "normal" urine. I think you shouldn't worry so much.

You always have awesome answers, I suspected this was the case but needed to clear in my own mind. It is good to know that if I falter again I should be covered, the worst that could happen is that I don't get the job and have to remain on unemployment for the summer, oh darn.
