Hey guys, been a while.. Up for another job here and need to do another pre-employment screen. Unsure if I will have enough time for N2's dilution method (which I have used successfully in the past), due to my smoking habits and grade of bud. Granted, I have stopped now for 10 days but could be popped in the next few days and fear the dilution method may not work for me. I am trying to put this off until mid next week. I will start the creatine tomorrow just in case and dry run if I can put the test off a few days. To be safe, I just bought some Quickfix 5.7, some THC dip tests, and SVT strips in order to be prepared whichever way I go. I tested myself today (no dilution method) and came up positive for THC but was Ok on validity (duh). To be sure, I then tested the Quickfix 5.7 and it passed with flying colors. My question, do the THC dip sticks and the SVT strips have any affect on the Quickfix. Any reason to worry the QF is ruined due to dipping both the THC and SVT strips into it?? I thought I saw this questioned posed a while back, but I cannot find an answer when I run a search. Thx in advance.

I tested my Quickfix 5.7 with a THC dip test as well as a validity strip test to verify that it does indeed pass (which of course it did). I need to know if doing this has any affect on the Quickfix as I want to use it for an upcoming pre-employment screen I have to schedule. I thought I saw a response to a similar question a while back, but am having a very difficult time finding a thread that answers this specific question when I do a search. If any of the mods or experienced Quickfix 5.7 users can confirm (or deny) my Quickfix will remain fine and (re)use-able, I'd greatly appreciate it. Seems the HR people are getting antsy for me to test (asked again today if I tested yet) and I need to have a game plan ASAP. Thank you very much in advance.

Didn't see any responses, and have been scouring the forums for an answer, nothing definitive. So I just called Spectrum and the customer service rep told me that they do not recommend exposing it to sunlight, transferring into any other containers or dipping anything into it. Friggin great, I guess I need to order another one... Sure it could simply be the rep just trying to make another sale, but I cannot risk it..

Not according to 3 seperate cust service reps at Spectrum.. I ordered another just to be extra safe, and in the end I may end up diluting as I should have at least another few days as I tested negative (faint line) with a dilution dry run as of last night and even passed the validity strip test. Can't wait till this is over.. (again) ![]()

| Transferring the QF in another container poses no problem - after all, you do have to pour the QF into the sample cup at the drop site, do you ? Next time you test your QF batch, dont dip the strip in the bottle - use a dropper and draw the sample from the bottle instead. When you dip the strip in the bottle, you can contaminate the QF batch when the reagent chemicals "bleed off" in the solution during submersion, rendering the QF useless. Also, because of the small opening of the QF bottle, the strip would have to be withdrawn vertically, increasing the chance of reagent pad "cross-contamination" when the reagent chemicals bleed off unto the neighboring reagent pads, making for screwy color readings. With a dropper, you draw enough sample so you can drop thick beads on each reagent pad. After about a minute, tip the strip on its side-edge to drain off the excess on a paper towel. The test strip is now ready for read.

Thanks Lew, very good to know. I already received my new batch as i had it over-nighted, so I will be prepared whichever way I go. Now all I need to do is practice getting temp right for the sub, and do a few more dry runs with the Dilution method in case I go that rout (I like to be ultra prepared).
