Hi all, As a former sub club member, I wanted to avoid the stress of the substitution process this time. Stopped smoking June 1st. I am a skinny 21 year old male. Extremely fast metabolism (last summer I was clear within 3 weeks), heavy smoker. Took a walgreens test on June 24th, test line almost as clear as control line. Drank heavily on the night of 24. Took another walgreens test in the morning (June 25th) (first void). test line still clearly present (fainter than last night but not "very faint" by any means). After the morning void test turning out negative, I was convinced that I did not need to dilute. So I tried avoiding drinking alot of fluids. (terrible idea). All I had between the morning void and the test was 2 ounces of vitamin water and half a cup of tea. During the lab test(labcorp collection center, sample shipped out) had an extremely hard time peeing. I could only pee about 10 drops to the toilet in order to give a midstream sample before I had to start peeing in the cup. barely filled it to the line. Strong urine odor and dark yellow colored sample. My concern is whether having drunk such little fluid prior test and providing a highly concentrated sample could have caused a positive result despite the negative results in the morning. Called the employer on 28th,29th and 30th (today) asking for results. They said they did not hear anything back. Called Labcorp today at 4pm, they said results sent to employer. "does results sent to the employer" mean its a negative? wouldnt they say results sent to MRO if it was positive? does the fact that labcorp sent out the results but the employer did not answer me back mean that MRO is reviewing the case? should I relax and light up? I dont want to give up my last castle (being clean) before receiving the actual results. also I feel terrible calling up the same HR person everyday. this forum is the only thing between me and insanity. havent slept more than 5 hours in the last 3 days. thanks and appreciate your feedback.

You must have received a copy of your test form. Is there an MRO listed (upper right hand portion of the form). If not, then your employer might not have an MRO review the tests. Non-DOT employers who are located in states without regulation on drug testing don't have to have an MRO review tests. Don't call the employer and ask if you passed, no person who KNOWS they are negative would do that. They could also say the test was forwarded to the employer if, for example, the employer also employs a company doctor who is serving in the capacity of an MRO. What does your test form say?

Don't call the MRO. A clean person would never do that. Just try to put it out of your mind. If you passed home tests, you have a really, really good chance of passing this one.

You did the right thing by not diluting. I've read reports of people passing the immunoassay with a very faint line (just under the 50mg cutoff). Remember, the initial test given is the same as the home test. Even a faint line is a negative, so if you had a bold line that was even close to the control line... you're good. If you had diluted, you would have run the risk of giving an "adulterated sample"... and the sample could have possibly gone on to the confirmation test which would have busted you. I'm speaking in the past tense because I believe you're in the clear... as long as you didn't raise any suspicion by calling 3 days in a row to see if you passed... ![]() If there is an MRO listed on the form, they are required to contact you before contacting the employer. This is to question about any medications you may be on that could explain a positive result. So, if they sent the results to the employer... then again.... I think you're all good. Get some sleep.
