Hello, my first post here. I am sorry if a new thread is not appropriate, I wanted to add to the dilution thread, but for some reason it has been closed.

First of all I would like to thank the mods and anyone else involved in keeping this forum up and running. While reading to help myself it was great to see how many have contributed to help others. Twice I have passed tests using the stickied dilution method posted by IamN2pot.

First off here are my physical characteristics and smoking history. I am now 40 years old, 5' 9' and 160 lbs, and I believe a high metabolism. My general history is 15+ years of daily smoking then more moderate use in more recent years, more because of lack of opportunity than a choice to cut down. This includes stretches of up to 2-3 months of no use. However, both times tests have come up after periods of regular use.

First test details:

The first test came up as a result of a jail sentence of 10 days due to DWI. While awaiting my sentencing for this I was under a sort of house arrest, including 2x daily blowing into a home breathalyzer. The court order requiring this also stated that I was not allowed to use illegal substances also, but I did not realize that to qualify for work release I would have to pass a drug screen at the time I began my sentence. Not knowing this I continued to smoke a few one hits daily since this would not be detected by the breathalyzer. Only after sentencing and 5-6 days before I was required to report to the jail was I informed that there would be a drug test. In a panic I started searching the internet to find information on how to pass this. Failing this test would have been costly for both financial and personal reasons. The financial reasons being that I would have to pay for the time I spent in jail, and without work release I would have no income to pay for this so the bills would have continued to add up while I sat in jail. Also, because I was not available to do my work I had reason to believe I could have been fired and replaced, because someone would be needed to fill my position at work. The personal reasons involved the people that were so accommodating to help me get through this difficult time. This included family members and co-workers who were non-users and had no reason to believe I was a pot smoker. These people would have felt very let down that despite their efforts to help me I made matters worse by going ahead and using drugs with all this going down. Sorry this post is so long winded but for those who helped here I wanted to emphasize what was at stake. Now for those who here facing a similar situation I will get on to the details of using dilution to pass the test.

Loading creatine was done by eating steaks everyday, I live in a rural area and was unable to drive to a nutrition store as I was on a driver's license limited to driving to and from work only because of the DWI, so supplements were not available. Dilution was the only option as I assumed, and was correct, that my drop would be monitored in the jail. I did not drink cranberry juice or any other fluids excessively in the days leading up to the test. I was able to obtain aspirin, and vitamin B (in the form "Stress B" tablets, which included B6 and B12, but not B2 as is recommended) from the grocery store I worked at. As far as exercise goes, I am pretty active in my job which included lots of lifting. I was not able to go into the "lazy" mode the last couple of days as is recommended because I worked up to and including the day I was to report to jail. The day of my test I took the aspirin every 2-3 hours and was drinking several bottles of Gatorade or Powerade throughout the day, and the Stress B tabs kept these voids all a nice yellow color. There were several voids throughout the day with the constant intake of fluids and during my lunch break I was able to walk to a nearby Dairy Queen and ate 3-4 cheeseburgers, for the recommended fatty diet, and ate a couple more after work as I drove to the jail, and drank a couple bottles of Gatorade on the way too. It was about a 45 min drive to the jail and I stopped for one last void at a convenience store in the town the jail was in.

Finally I arrived at the jail for my booking, nervous as hell. During the booking I had to pee very badly so I asked the jailer if the test would be soon because I needed to go soon, and he said it would only be a few minutes, so I held out. Finally it was time for the observed drop, an officer followed me into a cell with one of those gross toilet/water fountains and stood behind me as I delivered. I started the piss into the toilet then moved the cup into the stream. I had to pee so bad that I easily delivered a sample well past the required amount, then went back to pissing in the toilet. I returned with the officer to the room where the booking was done and he removed some sort of strip from the cup and announced that the test was negative and I was good to go! I was so relieved,and I mean both my bladder and my mind!

Second test details - escreen

My second test was pre-employment. This time the new job was a moderate upgrade from my current job, so there was no risk of unemployment or such consequences, but a fail would be very disappointing to friends and family who were under the impression that I had stopped smoking pot years ago. About 6-7 weeks before the test I had obtained some very strong Purple Urkel and had been smoking daily and it lasted about a month. Then I went about 2 weeks without smoking and applied for this job. I applied knowing that a drug screen would be involved but I had gained confidence in the dilution method and was confident I could pass, if the job was actually offered. I had also smoked one time about 10 days prior to the initial interview. I knew there would be multiple interviews before a job was offered, but not how long of a time span these would occur in. To be safe I started diluting the morning of the first interview, again using the combo of aspirin, Stress B's and Gatorade. I went through all 3 interviews that same day, with voids between each. After the third I was given a job offer, pending the UA and a background check. This was a Monday and I was told the results would be in late in the week or early in the next week.

The test was done in a nearby hospital. I was asked to empty my pockets, but there was no sort of patting down or such. I was taken to a bathroom. The test administrator put blue dye into the toilet and was able to shut off the water from the outside. I was alone in the bathroom and substitution would have been possible, but I did not have a substitute so gave my own sample. Again I started pissing into the toilet, filled the cup past the line and finished into the toilet, to insure a mid-stream sample. I handed the sample to the administrator, who checked the temp and then poured the required amount into another container, sealed it and put it in an enveloped to be sent to and outside lab, which was Clinical Reference Laboratory in Overland Park, Kansas.

I had been hoping that the UA test results would be immediate, and that the wait was only for the background check. Although I was confident in my dilution I must admit I was stressed for the next several days as I awaited the results. Having gotten the job offer I was very anxious to give notice to my current job and get ready to move on to the next one, but with a degree of uncertainty I kept it hushed till I got the call to schedule orientation. The following Friday I got the call. I was very happy to receive the call before the weekend, eliminating 2 more days of worry. Again dilution had worked!

Again I apologize for such a long winded post and for starting a new thread if it should have been posted in an existing thread I could not find, but I wanted to include the best details possible for anyone facing similar situations. For example when I first came here I found no references to tests taken in a jail, so I had no idea what to expect.

I know that it may very state to state, or even between counties within a state, but I hope that describing my situation will help someone. This was in the state of MN, btw. Also, I am quite sure that sample integrity was not questioned or tested for the first test in jail, the yellow color passed visual inspection and that seemed to satisfy the officer at the jail.

In the second instance, since the sample was sent to a lab I have no idea whether this was checked or not, but I passed to the satisfaction of my new employer.

Another detail about the difference between the 2 tests is that for the first I also used Certo in one of the bottles of Gatorade. I believed those who stated that it would not be hurtful, but under the circumstances, with my freedom at stake I was willing to try anything. After passing the second test without it I am thoroughly convinced that this is useless. But if it helps ease your mind then go for it. It certainly did not hurt when I used it.

Even after my sample was given and the matter was beyond my control, it eased my mind to read about so many successes using the dilution method, and so few failures by those who followed the method. Even when it was too late to help I spent several hours reading here.
