If the instant test has an adulteration panel, you would need that stuff. You don't want to give any reason to doubt you. If your urine is very pale (no color) that may throw up red flags and cause your PO to be more careful. The vitamins don't hurt, neither does eating red meat.

(I don't want to upset any vegetarians out there, but humans have been eating red meat for many centuries now, and we are still kicking)

You are smarter than you think. Just advise your girlfriend not to smoke until she has no risk of being tested. I'm sure she doesn't want to suffer the consequences of failing a military test.

If you really want this job, invest in some home test kits. That will ease your worry and give you some idea where you stand as far as passing a test. Just test yourself with your first urination of the day when testing at home. If you can pass that test, you can pass any test.

BTW: I think your plan will work (I think). I'd feel better if you had a home test history to rely on.... See??? you are making even me crazy. Home test yourself.

Yeah thanks for the advice, i might head up to the cvs and grab a test kit. I rather be safe than sorry. It also might help that as most good college students (hhaahaa) I tend to consume alot of beer, especially over the last month, aka pissing alot. I figure that won't hurt either huh?

Any paticular home test I oughta go for? Or anyone one else want to give thoughts on my situation?

a situation that took place earlier today...(tuesday 3-7-06)
i had a surprise urine test at about 6:10am (was still sleeping) courteousy of my mom.

heres my situation....
i had smoked 1 joint about 12-13 hours before i was woken up (4:30-5 pm day before)
before that i smoked a pretty fat J the night before (sunday) and 2 J's two days before that (friday).
i was woken up but was able to stall the actual peeing into the cup portion for a good 2-2 1/2 hours.
during this time i was able to take a nice hot shower (almost like a sauna effect), drink 50fl oz of Propel (14 fl oz short of 2 quarts), urinated about 2 times (2nd time was just to throw mom off and make her believe i was struggling but it wasn't nearly as much as a full urination), i was able to spit about a mouthfull or a little less of just water into the cup while i was peeing into it, i did the midstream method.
the cup was about half full and about 1/4 of that was water.
i am about 5'7" and 135 lbs, and i have a fairly quick metabolism.

this was a real urine test normally issued by a local treatment center but my mom has these random urine test cups apparently and can take them to the place to be tested.

with all this i have many questions,
what are my chances for being below cut off levels?
if not, will my urine be diluted enough to give me a re-test?
if indeed i do take a re-test what do you recommend i do during that time span (i am scheduled to smoke a lot this following friday) ?
are the 45 minute chewable tablets worth it and do they work?

thank you guys so much, i just need some closure cause i'm too worried, i talked to a urine test expert and she said i should be diluted and my urine shouldn't be dirty but i like to have a lot of perspectives on this situation.

i looked through and it seems as if vitamin b12 doesn't do the same as vitamin b2, but i just want to make sure if vitamins b12 and b6 don't do anything to make the color of you pee look normal

and where do they sell creatine? any place other than GNC?

I have also learned that B2 is the vitamin you want. From my own experience, just taking 1 Centrum multivitamin (no, not the Centrum Silver yet ) daily makes my urine turn vibrantly yellow for the next 2-3 voids.
