Your friend might just be luckier than most. It appears that your friend is able to clean out very fast, and/or he was able to dilute successfully (either intentional or unintentional).

I recently took a pre-employment urine drug screen. I was clean for over a week prior to taking this test. I am a daily smoker and knew that I needed to do something, or it would come back dirty. I went to GNC and bought a bottle of QCARBO32. I followed the directions to the letter. I had nothing to eat before the test, drank water both before and after drinking the bottle, and waited about 2 hours before taking the test. I FAILED!!!!! I urinated many times before taking the test. I even was taking several doses of multi -vitamins days leading up to it.
They are now in the process of retesting the same sample at the lab, I am sure that it will return with the same results, but I was hoping that since the sample sat for almost a week, that maybe something in that drink will dissolve what remained in the sample. Anyone know what the chances of that are???

First mistake: Using that load of crap detox drink. You were doomed to begin with. You should have subbed or dilluted your piss with the dillution technique. Sorry man, that really sucks.

I am curious, do you believe that they put something that strong in a "detox" drink that you drink and consume that will eventually destroy THC metabolites in your urine? Nothing like drinking a strong chemical solvent or cleaner, yum yum. Next, do you think things pass from your mouth, stomach, small intestine, blood, kidneys, bladder, then out your body untouched? If you drink a Coke, does your urine turn black? Corn withstanding.

Being a trained master of the obvious I would have to say. Yes, he does.

To this I would say...No it doesn't turn black but it will foam in the toilet with enough pressure behind it. The corn part is just ridiculous. I never pissed out a piece of corn that I remember, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

I'm just saying.. I am strongly against the use of these. Many of my friends use this junk and it never worked for them. Maybe it does work, I'm not ruling that out.. I'm simply stating that it rarely works for chronic users.

They do work by diluting the urine with the extra water that is instructed for the donor to drink (problem is that it is basically water that is passed throught the body and if you drink too much, your specimen will fail most integrity tests).

They do not work as advertised by cleansing the body of toxins for a period of time.
