BTW, i took a home test and passsed after consuming a liter of water in about 15 minutes, pissing about 6 times n then testing, passed with flying colors (cuz it was jus water ) lol
but im less worried for some reason... thanks for everyones help n good luck to everyone else

So...I bought creatine supplements and am taking them. How much creatine should I be ingesting (I'm sure its written about elsewhere but there are soooo many creatine postings my head is spinning!)

I did the dilution tips, bought a home test, and passed! I ran immediately to the lab to take the pre-employment screening test and just found out I failed! I was supposed to start work on Monday. Now what?!

Did you take your home test while trying to dilute or did you use your first pee of the morning?

If you tested yourself while you were diluted, then you weren't so diluted for the employment test, that would explain the difference.

If you tested negative at home using your first pee of the morning, without drinking fluids throughout the night, then you tested positive at the lab, I have no explaination.

I'm freakin depressed as shit right now. I just lost a great job opportunity and my pockets are getting seriously empty. I'm about to see if one of the other offers I got is still available. It's been about 3 weeks now since my last smoke.
To remind you of my stats, I'm 300#, 6'2", overweight, non-active, slow metabolism, 40 yrs. old.
If it's the only way to pass, there is one guy I know around my same age who might be willing to give me a sample to substitute. I was too scared to try this method before but I can't let another opportunity go by becuase of this damn test.
Assuming I get the other offer and they schedule a new pee test for me, what's the best cleaner that you can buy out there?
Also is there a better test that I should buy at the drug store?
I went cheap last time and now I'm seriously regretting it. I'm willing to spend whatever it takes right now to make sure I have income again. I called the testing center and while they won't tell me what the levels were in my last test, they said I could schedule another test for my own personal use for $60. I want to do this ASAP but I also want to try one of the commercial cleaners to see if it works for me first.
Any suggestions?

You can also send your sample in that you use for a home test which is included in the price. Just make sure that you test with your first void of the day. I would even cut out getting up in the middle of the night to pee so that your first void is as concentrated as hell. Then you send the sample in and in about a week, depending on which one you get, you can check the result online or call in.

Like the others said, the fact that you diluted prior to taking your home test did not give you the worst case scenario. I agree with Sec3's reasoning for passing the home test and failing the real one. If you fail on the first morning void either wait it out some more or try dilution but keep track of it so you know how much you'll need for the real test. You've had some additional time now so think positive and know that you're likely cleaner. Do some exercise til you get your hands on a viable prospect and get some fiber to help as well.

Going with substitution for a pre-employment test is usually your best chance
of passing (assuming that you've practiced it til perfect). Not sure by your language if you already knew this, but neither age nor gender matter for a drug test. If I remember correctly, the reasoning behind that is because simple regular drug tests are cheaper than a drug test combined with a (totally different type of) test for age/gender/etc. Also, I am not sure that an employer would legally be able to conduct tests on age or gender (legal experts please advise).

BigDaddyCA, just get a couple of home tests. ( I know you don't really trust them, but that is irrelevent right now). Test yourself using your first morning pee. Don't get up in the middle of the night and drink fluids, just do your normal routine at night. if you need to get up in the middle of the night to pee, go ahead. Just don't drink any fluid. In the morning, when you pee, urinate some in a plastic cup. use the home test on that urine. When that test comes up negative, TRUST ME, you should pass any employment test.

Don't waste $60 on a test that you know will just tell you that you are positive. What are you going to do with the results anyway? The employer already marked that you failed. A positive result from the lab complete with nanograms per milliter levels won't do anything for you what-so-ever, except deplete your already stressed bank balance.

When you tested yourself using your 3rd pee of the day, or even after breakfast, or just a cup of coffee, it isn't the same. Your bladder only had a couple of hours at most to replenish itself and it did so with any fluid you drank that morning. By using your very first pee of the day, you are creating a "worst case scenario". In other words, throughout the day, your urine will not contain as much THC as it does right after you first awaken. Your body has had 7-8 hours to build up metabolites in your bladder.

In addition, every day you delay or do not test, your body is that much cleaner. Time is your friend. The detox drinks do nothing to clean out your system. All they will do is help you to have a false sense of security. When you tested yourself with your home test, your urine was diluted. That is all the detox drink will do, but it is sort of uncontrolled. When using a detox drink you can never be sure if it will work or not. It is a huge gamble when you are depending on a job as much as you are depending on this one.

It is a much safer method to use the home test and make sure you are clean with your worst case urine.

You could also sub, that is pretty much a sure bet if you can get the temperature right. If I were you and if you are choosing to use the substitution method, be sure to practice your temperature. I caught two this week alone with temperatures not within range. one was too warm, one was too cold. You can get it just right if you practice.
